Wealth and Asset Management (WAM) Engineering is an organization within Schwab Technology Services aligned to support the technology needs of Schwab Asset Management (SAM), Wealth & Advice Solutions (WAS), the Schwab Center for Financial Research (SCFR), and Third-Party Platform teams. WAM Engineering Investments, an organization within WAM Engineering, is dedicated to providing support to SAM which is a growth area for Schwab. 

This newly created role will support the future growth of the SAM business. As a Manager, Scrum Master, you will be leading multiple Agile teams, helping the teams deliver ever-increasing customer and business value. You will enable the Agile teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business objectives in a flexible, collaborative, and rapidly changing environment.

You will play a critical role in supporting key stakeholders across the SAM organization, which is focused on Schwab’s proprietary ETF, Mutual Fund, and SMA products. Supported business functions span SAM’s equity portfolio management and equity trading teams. You will be working with a team of talented and highly motivated technologists that strive to make technology a strategic differentiator for Schwab’s SAM business and their clients.

To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related degree, OR related practical experience
    Hands on experience gained through at least 5 years leading Agile teams building complex software solutions, and working experience with Schwab systems and processes
    Expertise managing Agile ceremonies, leveraging Jira and Confluence for planning and documentation purposes 
    Scrum Master Professional certification
    Strong ownership mentality with a focus on customer satisfaction. Ability to communicate with all levels of the Engineering and Investments                 organizations to discuss issues and work through strategic planning. 
    Experience in empathetic negotiation, facilitation, and conflict resolution to navigate complex situations, consider others' viewpoints, and foster             productive interactions

    Responsible for ensuring the Change Implementation Management policies are adhered to for all changes deployed to Production
    Applies advanced skills in empathetic negotiation, facilitation, and conflict resolution to navigate complex situations, consider others' viewpoints,           and foster productive interactions.
    Ability to work independently and also collaborate with all types of stakeholders, both technical and business, peers, and leaders
    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously
    Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
    Ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and learn new technologies
    Strong customer focus with a sense of ownership and determination to drive solutions in a collaborative environment

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
