Schwab’s AI Strategy & Transformation team—known as AI.x—is the central hub for Artificial Intelligence at Schwab. We are an integrated product, engineering, strategy and risk team, all based in San Francisco. We help set the enterprise vision for AI, invest in the most promising opportunities, and accelerate delivery across the company. We also build the core platform that powers AI at scale and explore next-generation GenAI efforts that will redefine how we serve our clients.

As a Sr Manager, AI Partnership & Business Development Lead on AI.x, you will play an essential role in advancing Schwab’s priorities by driving the analysis, execution, and expansion of innovative AI partnerships and business solutions. In this role, you will lead the identification, negotiation, and management of strategic AI partnerships that elevate client engagement and deliver business value. You will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, researchers, and business leaders to align partnership objectives with Schwab’s enterprise strategy. You will participate in mentoring and sharing knowledge with junior team members, helping to build strong business development practices and foster a culture of continuous learning. You will contribute to solving complex strategic challenges, supporting business standards, and driving experimentation from concept to implementation. Above all, you will bring curiosity, creativity, and expertise to help propel the next generation of AI-powered experiences at Schwab.

What You’ll Do

• AI Business Development: Engage with the AI business ecosystem, from early stage-up to enterprise, to identify emerging capabilities and communicate their potential to Schwab executives. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure responsible and scalable AI adoption of potential solutions & integration

• Competitive Analysis: Stay current on emerging AI technologies, trends, and best practices to inform Schwab’s AI roadmap.Evaluate and recommend new AI capabilities for enterprise adoption, including partnerships with startups and vendors

• AI Strategy & Implementation: Support the development and execution of GenAI-driven solutions across business units, translating business needs into AI opportunities by collaborating with stakeholders across product, operations, and technology

• Executive Communication: Manage executive-level communications, including presentations, briefings, and strategic updates.Craft compelling narratives that articulate the value and impact of AI initiatives to senior leadership

What you have

Required Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degreeis required.

• 5-7+ years of proven experience within AI Business Development or Partnership teams, having a defined track record for engaging with the wider AI ecosystem to identify and leverage opportunities for collaboration with other AI companies.

• 5-7+ years developing understanding of AI technologies and trends, for informed discussions and strategic decision-making.

• 8-10+ years professional analytical and problem-solving, assessing market opportunities and developing strategies to capitalize on them.

• 8-10+years of demonstrated senior-level communicationskills and abilities to craft compelling narratives and deliver effective presentations tailored to executive audiences.

• 8-10+ years' experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders and championing initiatives across departments.

• 3+ years of experience enabling effective engagements with executives and key stakeholders in the AI industry.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or equivalent post-MBA level experience.

• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to craft compelling narratives and deliver effective presentations tailored to executive audiences.

• Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills; a team player with experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders and championing initiatives across departments.

• Strategic mindset with the ability to identify and leverage opportunities for collaboration between Schwab and other AI companies, ensuring productive and mutually beneficial connections.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
