The Capital Stress Testing group within Treasury manages the CCAR and DFAST capital stress testing projects for the corporation and Schwab Bank. This group is responsible for the design, scheduling, and the gathering of documentation requirements from groups across the organization for annual stress testing. As Schwab’s financial profile and regulatory requirements evolve, so does our department. In addition to the annual stress testing, our group is responsible for integrating other regulatory requirements into the firm’s framework and ad hoc analyses such as peer analytics.

The Senior Specialist position will be responsible for the maintenance of the capital stress testing (CST) documentation repository and help with implementing the internal controls framework for CST. The Senior Specialist position is an individual contributor role.

What you have


  • Demonstrated data documentation experience with the ability to organize, manage, and maintain high documentation standards
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to build cross-functional relationships and to interact effectively with peers across the firm; a high energy individual is preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Prior experience using Sharepoint is preferred
  • 1-4 years of prior work experience at a financial organization
  • Bachelor’s degree required

What you'll do:

  • Manage the CST documentation repository, Sharepoint, working with our technology partners to setup, maintain and provide support as needed.
  • Partner with Corporate Planning, Risk Analytics and other internal business partners to ensure uploaded files conform to standards, are uploaded on time, are approved, and adhere to related controls.
  • Work with business partners to facilitate updating and tracking changes to process maps, ensuring processes captured are consistent and complete.
  • Provide training to CST participants on Sharepoint usage, process maps, and other topics as needed, working with individual participants if they have issues or questions.
  • Assist in oversight of CST internal controls framework by tracking the completion of controls, working with Risk to create new controls, and remediating control findings.
  • Research and implement documentation improvements for the CST cycle, including workflow tools and Sharepoint enhancements.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in capital stress testing regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of leadership decks and Capital Plan documentation, if needed.
  • Contribute to ad hoc analytical projects, primarily related to capital and peer analytics.

In addition to the salary range, this position is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
