Your opportunity

At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together.

The Investor Services Finance team provides financial analysis and business decision support for Schwab’s Investor Services enterprise which generates $15.6B in annual revenue with $9.2B in direct expense. The team’s objectives are to help business partners drive operational leverage and maximize profitability through rigorous analysis to support strategic decision making and planning, understand business trends, and communicate segment performance.

This role is a terrific opportunity to join the team supporting the Retail enterprise in supporting the Retail Experience & Specialized Relationships (RESR) organization. RESR integrates across channels and all parts of the Retail ecosystem to stay aligned with a common Retail Strategy and to deliver exceptional experiences for Retail clients and the reps that serve them.

What we are looking for:

The expectation for a successful Finance Manager candidate supporting RESR is an individual who constantly thinks outside the box and partners effectively with leadership. Influencing senior leadership with analytical rigor and strategic thought partnership is integral to the role. While this role encompasses the full spectrum of FP&A responsibilities, it offers an exciting opportunity to focus more on dynamic, ad-hoc analysis and strategic business partnering, complementing traditional financial planning and reporting.

What to expect:

Many strategic initiatives originate within the RESR organization, and Finance is frequently called upon to provide economic impact analysis to assess potential opportunities. These requests may take the form of business cases or ad-hoc inquiries from top Retail leadership. One day might involve evaluating a new strategic investment, while another could focus on a specific franchise branch opportunity. While the role includes consistent responsibilities, the ideal candidate embraces a diverse range of analyses and projects.
