Given the scale of this opportunity, the Retail business has stood up a Retail GenAI business function to coordinate GenAI efforts to maximize the value of our investments, support execution to drive efficient delivery of capabilities, and partner on change management efforts to drive engagement and adoption across the business.

This role will report to the Director of Retail GenAI and will be a part of Charles Schwab's Retail Strategy team which is the internal management consulting group for the Retail business. The Retail business is Schwab’s primary business unit with 13,000 employees worldwide. Our team of roughly 15 professionals serves as a trusted adviser to the head of the Retail business and the Retail Leadership Team and works on strategic and operational issues at the top of senior management's agenda.

Job summary:

We are seeking a Manager for the Retail GenAI business function. As a Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Set Retail GenAI Strategy & Vision

    • Conduct market and strategic analysis to identify GenAI opportunities.
    • Define business goals and translate them into a clear product vision.
    • Establish strategic priorities and roadmap, secure funding and resources.
    • Align cross-functional teams on execution.

    Drive Initiative Execution

    • Design program structure and oversee implementation.
    • Lead non-technical workstreams (e.g., marketing, legal, compliance).
    • Support product and technical teams with strategic decision-making.

    Lead Change Management

    • Partner on rollout and adoption of GenAI applications.
    • Collaborate with field enablement to realize productivity benefits.

Strategic Problem Solving: Break down complex challenges into actionable strategies.

Analytical Decision Support: Identify key data, perform quantitative analysis, and inform decisions.

Executive Communication: Craft compelling narratives and presentations for senior leaders.

Program Leadership: Plan and execute large, complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders.

Adaptability & Learning: Thrive in dynamic environments and quickly master new topics.

What you have


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of work experience at a consulting firm focused on strategy-related projects within corporate environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Personal and professional alignment with Schwab’s vision and values, with a strong interest in our business
  • Passion for GenAI and the desire to learn and grow in this area.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial services or technology.
  • GenAI experience
