The Workforce Intelligence Team sits within our HR Enterprise and provides workforce related reporting, analytics, and business insights to HR professionals and business leaders across Schwab. Our team is looking for an HR Workforce Data Analytics Manager  who is comfortable navigating a variety of tools, who has an eye for details, and who is passionate about creating a predictable, high quality customer experience. In this team, members couple their analytical strength with functional expertise to bridge the gap between business problems and data driven solutions applying available workforce data.

Responsibilities include:

  • Using HR systems and database tools to develop and deliver ad hoc, recurring, and on-demand / self-service analysis and data solutions.
  • Working with Tableau or other BI / dashboarding tools to build and maintain self-service workbooks or as a tool to build presentation ready materials.
  • Independently or with a team, exploring and inventing new ways to take on data or technical challenges.
  • Designing, estimating, and personally executing an analysis plan based on a high-level functional issue description or business question.
  • Describing your own analysis and the insights you draw from it to others in HR or the business.
  • Recommending business process or system improvements to reporting capabilities and influence system owners to incorporate changes.
  • Peer reviewing code and reporting and performing data validation as related to data acquisition for analytic purposes.
  • Ensuring products are delivered that are audience appropriate, adhering to HR standards for data sharing and meeting the client’s need accurately.

What you have


To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5 plus years proven experience in data analysis or BI related roles with any or all of the following types of work: Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, reporting and analysis.
  • Highly proficient in reporting, quality asessment, structuring, optmizing, analyzing and interpreting data.
  • 3 plus years experience with SQL.
  • Proficiency with at least one of the following: R, Python, Alteryx, ETL. 
  • Strong Excel experience, inclduing reviewing and manipulating data.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and integrity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An understanding of core Human Resources functions and typical workforce management processes and related data.
  • Experience reporting from the following HR related systems preferred: Workday, iCIMS, SumTotal, or ServiceNow.
  • Experience with Tableau strongly preferred.
  • Experience with other presentations tools such as PowerPoint, and Business Objects.
  • Experience with One Model analytics software.
  • Experience defining, structuring, and documenting data optimized for analysis.
  • A high degree of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, with an appreciation for structure and standards
  • Demonstrable ability to interpret business processes and needs and translate them into data elements and values.
  • Demonstrated dedication to building rapport with stakeholders and working with others in a team to accomplish a goal.
  • Proven success in managing multiple tasks at once.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
