The primary role of this position is to lead the Security Operations that have a direct impact on Charles Schwab at the Service Center and Retail Branch locations within the Northeast region.  The Senior Manager, Corporate Security Operations will also support the Director, Security Operations with the administration and oversight of contract security officers, management of daily operations, building and maintaining site specific SOPs and metrics.  This role also relies on building strong relationships and partnering with Charles Schwab enterprise unit leadership to ensure that security and safety policies, standards, guidelines and procedures are enforced and effective.  The Senior Manager, Corporate Security Operations will provide consultation to leaders on security and safety matters, budget forecasting, investigations and resolution of reported incidents.

The expectation is to manage security operations on-site 100% of the time.  Flexibility of working from home can happen occasionally but should not be an expectation.

Travel to retail branches within your region 1-2 times per month is required.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of related experience in the Security Operations field
  • Two-year college degree, minimum (military education/experience considered in lieu of civilian requirements)
  • Ability to work under less than direct supervision
  • Proven ability to lead response efforts (medical, weather or other incidents)
  • Knowledge of physical security systems (access control, video management, etc.)
  • Demonstrated success in managing contract security vendors
  • Ability to work on issues with a diverse scope where analysis of the situation and data requires evaluation of a variety of factors with intangible information
  • Consistently draw upon the opinions and diversity of others before making recommendations that have a direct impact on the company 
  • Understand limitations and when to seek guidance while applying the appropriate level of risk process and measurements
