The International Client Development Team is a dedicated and specialized team within International Services that works closely with new clients to introduce Schwab and identify client needs.  As the first contact with Schwab, delivering a strong first impression and helping clients navigate Schwab’s extensive products and services is a critical component to the positive experience we strive for in International Services. 

The International CDT Investment Consultant will proactively reach out to new and prospective international clients to help navigate Schwab International’s various products and services across multiple international regions and jurisdictions.  Utilizing EDGE, you will be responsible for identifying client financial goals and helping guide them to the appropriate products and services, including advisory services where available, or making direct hand-offs to the International Branch FCs. This is a unique business development role that will require strong relationship building skills, a dedication to listening to client needs, and a deep dedication to helping international clients maximize their USD investing experience.

What you have


Required minimum skills and qualifications are: 

  • 3+ years’ experience in financial services including a strong understanding of the US markets, economic indicators, and financial environment
  • Must have a passion for client relationship building and business development
  • Familiarity of Schwab’s products and services and the positioning of needs-based products and services
  • Strong willingness to learn and grow in a complex and jurisdictional nuanced environment is required
  • Familiarity with international client rules, jurisdictional governance, product availability and nuances with servicing non-US customers is preferred
  • Series 7, 66 (or 63 and 65) are required OR a condition of employment to successfully obtain these licenses within the allotted training time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Series 9/10 or 24/4 are preferred
  • Mandarin, Cantonese, or Spanish language proficiency is preferred

In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
