Schwab’s Wealth and Advice Solutions (WAS) Analytics team within Schwab Data plays a critical role in enabling the Wealth and Advice Solutions organization to leverage insights for strategic decisions in a data-driven, fact-based, sophisticated manner. Our services are in heavy demand due to our reputation for accuracy, strong business insight, and attention to detail. We use close, collaborative working relationships with our business partners to apply analytic solutions to a wide array of business problems and questions. You will have significant exposure across our products, tools, and experiences to optimize and enhance our offerings to clients and prospects.

Key Responsibilities:


•  Act as an internal strategy consultant to WAS partners understand the challenges they face, form proactive, data-driven approaches, and complete quantitative analyses to inform business decisions
•  Lead efforts in providing business performance visibility, bringing to bear highly scalable, modern business intelligence platforms to drive business results
•  Work passionately toward engineering optimal solutions to support both short and longer term priorities, with solutions ranging from traditional to more modern, interactive business intelligence and analytic tools
•  Collaborate with product, business, and engineering partners to gather requirements, hypotheses, identify success metrics, and discuss the feasibility of analyses in current and future states
•  Create and deliver high-impact presentations and clearly communicate methodologies and results in a concise, easy-to-understand fashion to drive action
•  Create and maintain user documentation (in Confluence) around analyses and dashboards
•  Develop domain expertise around key Schwab systems
•  Collaborate with internal Schwab Data partners to deliver best-in-class and well-rounded solutions
•  Build strong partnerships with business partners to align, prioritize, and integrate our efforts

What you have


Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of full-time work experience, including 5+ years in an analytical or data science role
  • Experience in a multi-functional working model, communicating directly with product owners, data engineers, developers, and user experience researchers
  • Demonstrated success with handling 5-10 concurrent requests
  • Ability to translate business requirements into SQL "from scratch" without the assistance of a code generating tool and able to understand existing complex SQL
  • Hands-on experience developing, maintaining, and enhancing dashboards using Tableau
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to tailor communications to specific audiences
  • Comfort in a dynamic, fast-moving, Agile, and matrix work environment
  • Undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Information Systems, Economics, or other related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Web and Mobile App analytics
  • A/B Testing across digital platforms
  • Tagging Management and Implementation
  • Experience w/ Splunk

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
