The Sr. Specialist in Client Tax Reporting is responsible for processing control reports, conducting quality assurance testing on tax forms.  This role is responsible for supporting timely and accurate tax reporting to our clients and regulatory agencies. The Specialist communicates internally with business partners to inform them of upcoming client mailings and notifications.

What you’ll do:

As a Sr. Specialist on the Form 990T UBTI Reporting Team, you will be accountable for:

  • Processing tax database control reports, researching discrepancies and making updates to the database to ensure accuracy.
  • Communicate with internal and external business partners to escalate issues and keep interested parties informed.
  • Assist with heavy-volume activities in the department, including the processing of client K1 forms and IRS Notices.
  • Creating business requirements, including enhancement requests as well as covering regulatory changes
    • Updating reference guides that support tax form and letter productions
    • Conducting user acceptance testing and form production testing
  • Processing incoming client K1 tax forms during tax season.
  • Requesting K1 form updates on behalf of our clients.
  • Processing IRS C Notices for clients who are subject to backup withholding.

What you have


To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with Form 990T UBTI.
  • Prior experience in the brokerage industry, preferably in Operations

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage through issues
  • Self-starter who can take on a project with minimal support
  • Ability to identify risks and escalate to management when appropriate
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing most critical work first
  • Ability to read and understand business requirements produced by the IRS and states
  • Strong client focus, with the ability to think in terms of the client experience and perspective
  • Series 7 and 63 a plus
  • Flexibility in schedule. This position will work approximately 20 hours per week

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
