Your opportunity

The Wealth Management Learning & Coaching (WML&C) team in the Retail Experience Strategy & Risk (RESR) organization is accountable for developing and coaching Schwab sales professionals.  The Wealth Management Learning & Development (WML&D) team, an organization within WML&C, is responsible for creating and delivering innovative learning solutions to equip Schwab talent across the branch network and specialized organizations to provide exceptional service to our clients.

We are always searching for new ways to deliver industry-leading wealth management experiences to our clients and provide services that add more value to our clients. This starts with ensuring our people are equipped to serve clients the Schwab way.

FC Academy (FCA) is part of the WML&D organization.  We recruit top talent – including recent college graduates and career changes – and provide a comprehensive 15-month development program designed to prepare them for success as sales professionals within the Branch Network and other business development roles at Schwab.

FCA is a 15-month rotational development program providing new college graduates and career changers with robust training, coaching, and experiences to become future Financial Consultants within Schwab’s Branch Network. Our mission is to attract, develop, and retain top talent at Schwab that delivers world-class client experiences. We encourage, coach, and provide participants with the necessary resources to effectively build and strengthen the consultative sales and relationships skills necessary to successfully transition to a relationship-based sales role. The FCA experience consists of 3 months licensing, 6 months in Client Service & Support (CS&S), and 3 months in Investor Development Training (IDT) rotation. Upon graduation, participants progress to entry-level sales and relationships roles in centralized locations or in a local branch.

About the Role:

The FC Academy Manager is responsible for onboarding new hires, leading teams to successfully pass required licensing exams (SIE, Series 7, and Series 66) during the 3-month licensing rotation, and leading teams during the six-month IDT rotation of the program.  FCA Managers drive results by focusing on employee engagement, creation of a positive work culture, and a strong orientation to personal growth and development. This leader will provide the coaching, support, and guidance to foster success and assess readiness to progress to post graduate roles.  The FCA leadership team is highly collaborative and fosters partnership and exposure to a cross-functional team including partners across the Branch Network, WML&D, CS&S, Supervision & Controls, Compliance, Wealth Management Coaching Consultants, and Talent Acquisition. The ideal candidate will have a high degree of professionalism, passion for coaching, delivering meaningful results, and structuring a positive environment for our FC Academy participants and supporting business partners. The FCA Manager role offers exposure and enhances skillset in preparation for other sales leadership roles at Schwab.
