We are seeking an entrepreneurial and passionate Sr Manager of Business Intelligence and Analytics at SAMS. This is an opportunity to leverage analytics, to drive next phase of growth for Schwab Asset Management Solutions (SAMS). SAMS is an industry leader in providing investment products – Solutions, SMAs, ETF’s , Mutual Funds, and Money Market Funds- and research products (Schwab Center for Financial Research) to our clients.

The Sr Manager role will sit at the intersection of business and technology to help build a data driven culture to drive SAMS growth. Candidates must have experience in analytics and data driven organization transformations to help drive Segment, Monetize and Scale strategy at an Asset Management or Large Big 4 consulting firm.

Key responsibilities include:

  • End to end execution of a Business Intelligence / Analytics project including business strategy, hypothesis generation, data discovery, data integration and Dashboard/Analytics model development
  • Communicating results to executive audience including development of insights, actionable recommendations, feedback loop

What you have


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years professional experience and desire to expand career within Analytics/Business Intelligence Development
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or relevant experience
  • Experience in Asset Management and or Strategy/Analytics consulting in large scale organizations
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data sets
  • Experience and knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and project planning/execution skills including estimating and scheduling
  • Strong technical proficiency in Tableau, Denodo VQL, and/ or SQL

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a fast-paced Asset Management domain
  • Experience in an ML engineer or data scientist role building and deploying ML models
  • Hands on experience with ML techniques, e.g., natural language processing (NLP), supervised/unsupervised (clustering, classification, regression, anomaly detection) and Deep learning / AI (ANN, CNN)
  • Ability to implement ML best practices for the entire Data Science lifecycle
  • Experience writing and speaking about technical concepts to business, technical, and lay audiences and giving data-driven presentations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and the business Experience with implementing best practices in Continuous Delivery
  • Cloud computing experience especially in Google Cloud (GCP) or Eagle Data Warehouse
  • In depth experience in Analytics including usage of R/Python and Data wrangling tools such as Alteryx
  • Prior experience in Schwab or TDA and/Or Asset Management acquisitions
  • Prior experience leveraging analytics to drive growth in Asset Management Sales, Digital Marketing

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
