At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together.

The Finance Manager within the Schwab Technology Services (STS) Finance team will play a pivotal role in supporting the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) organization, partnering directly with the leaders of Client Experience Technology (mobile, web, and digital retail platforms), Workplace Services (stock plan and retirement plan services), Office of the CTO (architecture and R&D), and STS AI enablement. You will be the front-line Finance partner, providing financial oversight and decision support, including monthly expense reporting, quarterly forecasting, and annual budgeting.  This is a unique opportunity to drive financial planning, forecasting, and analysis that directly influences Schwab’s technology strategy, including the identification and tracking of AI-driven benefits as part of the multi-year STS Transformation program.

What you have

  • 3–5 years of financial/business analysis and planning experience, ideally in technology or financial services.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience sourcing and consolidating data from multiple financial applications.
  • Understanding of accounting principles and finance concepts (expense accruals, cash flow, NPV, ROI).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

What you'll do:

The Finance Manager will partner directly with senior STS and Finance leadership and manage financial reporting, forecasting, planning, and ad hoc analysis in support of business initiatives and strategic decision-making.  The role will:

  • Partner with STS and Finance leadership to deliver monthly financial reporting and variance analysis, monthly Risks & Opportunities, quarterly forecasts, and annual budgets.
  • Lead quarterly forecasting and annual planning for labor and non-labor technology spend, working closely with business and Finance teams.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses, including business cases for technology investments and renewals, with a focus on AI benefit identification and tracking.
  • Consolidate and analyze data from multiple financial systems to provide clear reporting and actionable insights.
  • Identify and communicate trends, risks, and opportunities to business partners.
  • Develop and implement automation and process efficiencies and support continuous improvement in financial operations.

In addition to the salary range, this position is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
