The Financial Planning team within Wealth & Advice Solutions (WAS) Technology builds the platform and experiences that help clients plan for their financial futures. Our platform is at the center of both rep-led and self-directed client experiences geared toward creating a lifelong relationship with the clients that meets them at every point of their financial journey.

We are looking for a senior engineer to join a newly forming team as a lead and mentor. In this role, you will collaborate with business stakeholders to define solutions to bring new planning features to our clients. Relying on your experience in setting technical direction and motivating teams, you will help build a strong Agile delivery team responsible for creating, launching, and maintaining solutions that are core to our business. You will be both a contributing team member as well as guide and coach.

In this role, you will not only design and implement solutions, you will help define processes and facilitate the creation of team and program standards. You will optimize processes for secure, compliant, and reliable software releases.

What you have


▪ BS in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience
▪ 8+ years software development experience in Java and Springboot
▪ Understanding and experience of Security Tools such as Veracode, BlackDuck, etc.
▪ 3+ years’ experience in Distributed Databases Microsoft SQL Server(preferred) and NoSQL database: MongoDB etc.

Experience collaborating on technical decisions and contributing to architectural discussions
▪ Understanding of commonly use security libraries
▪ Experience working in CI/CD Environment
▪ Experience in designing and using automation test frameworks and a strong understanding of the test pyramid
▪ Professional experience with source code repository tools, such as Bitbucket or GitHub
▪ Strong communication skills – ability to balance written and verbal communication to clearly share your perspective and direction with others
▪ Demonstrated ability to facilitate discussions and drive consensus
▪ Experience in performance testing and tuning
▪ Strong understanding of Agile principles and the SCRUM process
▪ Experience mentoring junior engineers and helping them grow their technical skills through clear feedback and code reviews
▪ Demonstrated mindset of continuous learning and improvement
▪ Ability to work in fast-paced environments while managing multiple projects
▪ Ability to quickly learn and adopt new technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Financial Services
Experience in front end development using Angular and JavaScript; willingness to learn, required
Hands-on experience with application and service development using C# and .NET frameworks (ASP.NET, .NET Core)
Experience with event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, message queues, etc.)
Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
Experience with both Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) and cloud services such as Google Cloud Platform
Experience working with Microsoft Copilot and Gen-Ai solutions
Experience with responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility
Experience building accessible web applications (WCAG 2.1 Guidelines)

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
