The Retail Sales Transformation (RST) team, sits within Schwab’s Retail business and is responsible for supporting client-facing professionals and driving scale into their daily experience. While these professionals are focused on delivering an industry-leading wealth management experience as a trusted advisor, our team provides strategic and operational support. We help identify new clients and deepen client relationships. The Manager, Lead Management and Strategic Initiatives will report to the Director – Client Intelligence.

The RST group accomplishes this by setting strategic direction, business case development, operating model design, listening to our client-facing colleagues, conducting detailed analyses, and playing a business owner role in select product delivery. We collaborate with a broad set of stakeholders, partners, executive leadership, data science/analytics, product/technology, and marketing to fulfill the vision.

The Manager, Strategic Initiatives will support our critical pipeline management function as a business analyst, focusing on roadmap execution, creation of new lead sources, reinforcing pipeline management within our sales professionals, supporting analyses, diagnosing pain-points, and originating/prioritizing solutions, all while ensuring alignment with broader Retail business strategic vision.

What you will do

  • Analytics and Insights Owner
  • Business owner - Develop expertise in Lead Management data, systems, and processes and become a sales pipeline Salesforce expert. Partner with Salesforce CRM owner to develop business cases to further optimize Lead Management user interface.
  • Roadmap Execution - Support annual planning process and evolving roadmap, ensuring clear execution deadlines and setting expectations with leaders. Work through a wide variety of incoming requests in a structured way to plan, analyze, solve, and recommend paths forward.
  • Business and Impact Analysis - Analyze the day-to-day business performance identifying pain-points and devising & executing impact of solution rollouts in partnership with our Data and Analytics organization.
  • Stakeholder Management - The business owner plays a major role in stakeholder management, working closely with marketing and sales leadership on topics ranging from strategy to program updates. Develop and own a portion of the Field activation plan, monitor adoption, and engage relevant business partners to drive adoption.
  • Partner Management - The business owner manages the relationships with key partners (e.g., Sales teams) acting as a funnel to aggregate feedback and needs to the product owner.

What you have


  • Consultative/Strategy Experience - A total of 2+ years of full-time experience with strong examples of having worked with diverse set of stakeholders and influencing strategic decisions in complex environments; an ideal candidate has worked at least 2+ years in strategy/management consulting working on diverse set of problems spanning from pure strategy to program delivery
  • Analytical skills - Aptitude for data analysis in Excel and translating insights into concise, executive-level presentations using PowerPoint
  • Strong communication and presentation skills – ability to present to a variety of audiences, from branch professionals to technology teams. Experience presenting to executive teams also valued
  • Technology Fluency -ability to converse with technology and product teams and comfort being part of high level architectural, platform, and delivery conversations. Salesforce, Tableau, Microsoft Teams, an/or data infrastructure proficiency a plus
  • Domain Knowledge - Some background in marketing/channel strategy, leads and campaigns, while not essential, is valued
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity -exploring new, yet untested concepts, ideas, programs and tackling new problems that require working with a wide variety of partners to find solutions
  • A bias for action - the ability to overcome obstacles, tackle challenges creatively, and successfully execute, at times, under tight deadlines. Curiosity for learning the intricacies of the business, systems, and processes is a must
  • Background - Financial Services industry experience, while not essential, is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree highly preferred
