Billing Specialist, Advisor Services Operational Workflow

What you’ll do:

• Act as a brand ambassador for AS Billing while servicing our clients through regular interactions via email
• Assist with the management of the workflow and email inbox to maintain or exceed service levels, shifting workflow amongst teammates as needed
• Act as first escalation point for rebate and billing requests
• Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and resolve complex requests and provide additional solutions when necessary
• Seek out opportunities to improve skill set and knowledge
• Educate internal partners and clients while resolving complex issues including necessary research and analysis with an inquisitive, detail oriented mindset
• Proactively help to identify control gaps and inefficiencies and/or opportunities for process improvement/risk mitigation timely and effectively

Required:

• RIA Advisor Services experience
• Ability to effectively communicate in writing via email to internal business partners
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite

Preferred:

• FINRA Series 7, 63, 9 and 10 Licenses is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Self-motivation with superior organizational skills with the ability to multi-task while delivering assignments with little direction
• Excellent relationship management skills including collaborating with and influencing teammates/business partners
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems and think on your feet

This role in AS Pricing and Billing requires special expertise in numerous areas relating to AS commission schedules, negotiated pricing and Advisor billing. Those in this role are expected to integrate product knowledge and highly developed teamwork while owning the Wrap billing, Schwab Advisor Network (SAN) billing, Small Advisor Business Loan (SABL) billing and Transfer of Asset rebating.  Personal initiative and an ongoing commitment to maintaining a constant flow of information and building of knowledge within the team and overall business unit is required in the role.  The team works very closely with business partners in AS Sales, Finance, Service and Technology. A successful AS Billing Specialist is self-motivated, and excels in a fast paced, sometimes uncharted, challenging professional environment.
