We are looking for hands-on UX Lead (people leader) who is passionate about responding to user needs to join the Advisor Services User Experience team. Independent Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firms rely on Schwab’s digital platforms to conduct business, and we aim to provide experiences that inspire trust, simplify the complex, and empower them to deliver exceptional service to their clients.

In this role, you will be responsible for: 

Strategy & design leadership

  • Provide creative and strategic direction across a portfolio of products to ensure alignment with the platform vision and business goals
  • Advocate for user needs throughout the product design cycle
  • Co-create solutions with cross-functional teams, considering how digital, physical, and service channels work together
  • Tackle system-level questions by considering opportunities in design, architecture, and standards

Team leadership

  • Lead and mentor a collaborative and innovative cross-disciplinary UX team
  • Define and manage UX roadmaps across product areas to maximize resources and outcomes
  • Provide ongoing tactical direction focused on pragmatic, iterative improvements
  • Manage team performance and support talent development

Process and execution

  • Collaborate to establish and maintain a scalable design system and governance process
  • Help define research practices to identify user wants and needs and quantify impact
  • Leverage data and insights to design interfaces and workflows that streamline processes, increase adoption, and satisfy user and business needs

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of digital product design experience
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience
  • Documented experience designing highly complex B2B products
  • Expert in all facets of UX, including practice, process, tools, and techniques
  • Experience working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team within an iterative process and an Agile development methodology
  • Experience planning and conducting user research, inclusive of diverse research methodologies
  • Strong self-management skills, comfortable with substantial responsibility, ability to work directly with product and engineering partners, and capable of managing project schedules
  • Proficient in Figma

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience within the financial services industry

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
