We’re hiring for an exciting opportunity within Schwab’s Workplace Marketing organization, on the Strategy, Planning, and Transformation team. Our team focuses on transforming our marketing organization to become more effective and efficient. We collaborate with groups across the firm (Client Experience, Digital, Technology, Operations) to strategically scale our work in support of business growth. About the Role:

We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented, and highly organized Marketing Transformation Initiatives, Manager to be responsible for the end-to-end marketing program leadership and orchestration of key initiatives that realize scale and drive growth for our business partners. This position requires expertise in strategy and execution, project management, cross-functional collaboration, and knowledge of marketing best practices. This role will have significant exposure to senior leadership and deliver transformative, strategic projects.

A typical day for the Marketing Transformation Initiatives, Manager might look like: gathering input from marketing partners on gaps in our existing communications, leading a meeting with executives to gain support for the recommended solutions, exploring best practices across Schwab that could be applied to our team’s work, and updating project documentation to ensure that all partners are aware of program progress.

What you’ll do

  • Plan and orchestrate multiple strategic marketing programs, building detailed project plans with timelines, deliverables, and resource requests.
  • Manage program progress and artifacts, identifying risks, and escalating issues to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings that encourage cross-team collaboration while delivering the right outcome for clients.
  • Conduct research, analyses, and stakeholder interviews to develop and shape a strategic perspective on transformation opportunities in marketing.
  • Be curious, intimately understanding the work our organization does to identify root causes and make convincing recommendations to solve problems for our team
  • Effectively challenge the status quo to transform our organization.

What you have


To ensure that we fulfill our promise of “challenging the status quo,” this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; experience in marketing is highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in transformational projects, consulting, strategy, marketing agency, and/or program management roles.
  • Excellent storytelling and communication skills through PowerPoint presentations that are clear, concise, and compelling.
  • Foundational Excel skills to enable data collection, organization, and analysis.
  • Knowledge of marketing organizations, marketing best practices, and marketing technology (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo); financial services industry experience is a plus.
  • A strategic mindset, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, shape project scope, and influence multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment while introducing structure and frameworks for problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A highly collaborative approach to project management with the ability to work across multiple teams in a matrixed organization.
  • Active listener who can synthesize many details and is not afraid to “go into the weeds” to solve problems.
  • Self-starter mindset with a willingness to jump in and learn, make quick decisions, and pivot towards better solutions when needed.
  • Flexible and comfortable with change as the organization is undergoing transformation.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
