Advisor Services (AS) is the industry leader in providing custody, trading, technology, and practice management services to independent advisory firms. We provide access to sophisticated wealth services that help Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) attract and retain affluent clients, as well as profitably grow, compete, and succeed in their business efforts.

As part of the Advisor Experience & Platform Services organization, the Advisor Services Investment Product Experience team supports investment products such as funds, managed accounts and alternative investments as well as Turnkey Asset Management Providers (TAMPs) that custody with Schwab and those actively converting to Schwab. We work to define, develop and launch new initiatives and enhance existing offers in support of Advisor Services’ strategic objectives.

The Investment Product team works on a wide range of projects driven by Advisor Services’ priorities, and this Senior Manager role will focus on initiatives related to the TAMP program: designing, delivering and integrating this key platform with a focus on the three distinct experiences: TAMP, advisor and client. This role will involve developing streamlined onboarding and ongoing support processes for TAMPs, understanding their unique needs, and executing on a roadmap guiding how AS can fully and efficiently provide a successful end-to-end support model for these firms that addresses. The Senior Manager will serve as a Subject Matter Expert and advocate for TAMPs both internally and externally with these third-party firms and ensure that any goals and milestones align with Advisor Services’ strategic objectives and address the needs of our TAMPs, advisors and their clients.

Key Contributions:

  • As a member of a team of three senior managers supporting TAMPs and their needs, you’ll directly manage and own the TAMP experience in Advisor Services in conjunction with sales and transition teams.
  • Work collaboratively across multiple stakeholders to develop and deliver a cohesive vision, experience and roadmap for TAMP clients as well as the advisors who use them.
  • Develop a well-informed and trusted point of view on the TAMP experience that can help facilitate the business and product investment planning processes within Advisor Services.
  • As TAMP SME, become an expert in the needs, expectations and pain points of TAMPs and the Advisor Services’ teams supporting them. Assess the competitive environment, industry trends, current strengths and gaps.
  • Maintain an ongoing dialogue with TAMP firms, including onboarding walk throughs, surveys and feedback collecting, and general partnership work.
  • In partnership with our Sales and Service teams, proactively develop ways that these firms’ experiences can be streamlined and/or modernized to work best for them as well as our sales and support teams.
  • Champion and communicate to management and key partners the TAMP platform experience and associated projects, with a focus on managing day-to-day support
  • Regularly partner with stakeholder teams cross-functionally and cross-enterprise. Key partners include those across Advisor Services, including Sales, Business Development, Service, Strategy, Legal & Compliance, Risk, and Marketing, as well as teams throughout the Schwab organization, including Wealth & Advice Solutions, Schwab Asset Management and Digital Services.

Your qualifications and impact:

Technical & Industry Expertise

  • Extensive experience (5–10+ years) in financial services, with a focus on client experience, product development, and project management.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop actionable recommendations and execution plans.
  • Knowledge of Schwab’s TAMP platform and ability to define, present, and create actionable strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with RIAs, TAMPs, Outsource Agents and/or Managed Accounts preferred.
