The Workplace Services Engineering – Stock Plan Technology organization leads the development and maintenance of Schwab's Workplace Services platforms.  Our team is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager, who embraces being a technical leader and has a real passion for helping teams to build compelling applications using state-of-the-art technologies. Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate new initiatives to support the technical and business strategy of the organization
  • Plan the delivery of the multi-team initiatives and activities
  • Drive large, complex projects to completion and execute roadmaps, while championing business and technical goals
  • Manage interdependencies across a high number of scrum teams and organizations
  • Lead and coordinate the establishment of lower environment operations and test data management framework
  • Liaise with a diverse set of stakeholders to ensure needs and expectations are met
  • Work across specialized business and technical partners to broker decisions and negotiate trade-offs
  • Communicate effectively at an executive and team level
  • Mediate and resolve conflicts, maintain a strategic focus when making decisions
  • Demonstrate sound judgment regarding decisions and escalations with complete information
  • Provide supervision and direction to project teams to ensure successful execution
  • Ensure quality and evidence of project documentation
  • Understanding of Agile processes, team velocity and the ability to forecast progress accordingly
  • Collaborate across Design, Development, QA, Operations, and Governance teams to help remove roadblocks
  • Coordinate with external vendors and internal technical and legal teams to manage relationships and contractual agreements

What you have


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science or equivalent preferred) with 6+ years of project management experience, managing multiple large, complex and cross-functional projects
  • Requires specialized expertise in service delivery, lower environment operations and test data management in addition to working knowledge of related functions and sub-functions
  • Proven ability to earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders through focused execution of business priorities
  • Proven ability to deliver highly visible, complex projects
  • Ability to navigate and be successful in a highly matrixed organization
  • Focused and versatile team player that is comfortable under pressure
  • Demonstrated and applied experience establishing and delivering complex projects
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking skills
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management tools and methodologies
  • Experience successfully driving initiatives in an organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Requires knowledge of Java, .NET, PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry), Window/Linux Infrastructure, Oracle, SQL DB, Mongo DB
  • Understanding of the Equity Compensation industry and how work contributes to the achievement of objectives
  • Exercises judgment within undefined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions. Ability to read a room and drive the necessary outcomes.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
