Your opportunity

At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together.

We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location(s).  This role is expected to be in the office 4 days a week.

The Schwab Technology Services (STS) Portfolio & Project Management (PPM) organization partners with business and technology leaders to prioritize, plan, and deliver the technology work that powers Schwab’s strategic objectives.

You will join a high-impact Portfolio Management Office team supporting strategic Marketing initiatives that drive digital experiences, business transformation, and technology innovation across Charles Schwab. As part of the Marketing Portfolio team, you will partner with business and technology leaders to deliver initiatives that enhance client experiences, improve operational efficiency, and support Schwab's long-term growth strategy.

As an IT Project Manager, Senior Specialist, you will lead cross-functional initiatives that drive meaningful business outcomes, support technology transformation, and enhance operational effectiveness across the firm. Your work will directly influence how strategic priorities are translated into measurable results, helping teams deliver value with speed, quality, and transparency.

In this role, you will apply Project Management, Agile Collaboration, and Building Collaborative Relationships skills to lead projects from initiation through delivery while aligning stakeholders around common goals. You’ll partner with business leaders, technology teams, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, vendors, and other key stakeholders to develop integrated delivery plans, manage dependencies, and ensure strategic initiatives remain aligned to scope, budget, timeline, and quality expectations.

Success in this role requires the ability to assess complex situations, evaluate risks, identify solutions, and make informed decisions that keep projects moving forward. By leveraging Analytical Thinking, Problem Solving, and Attention to Communication, you will facilitate productive discussions, resolve challenges, manage competing priorities, and create clarity across stakeholder groups. You will also use financial and operational data to support forecasting, resource planning, and project governance activities that enable effective decision-making.

As part of Schwab’s commitment to continuous growth and development, you will deepen your expertise in enterprise technology delivery, Agile methodologies, portfolio management practices, stakeholder engagement, and organizational change. You’ll have opportunities to strengthen leadership capabilities, expand your strategic business acumen, and further develop the skills needed to drive enterprise-wide initiatives in a dynamic, highly collaborative environment.

We value employees who are curious, adaptable, collaborative, and committed to continuous learning. At Schwab, we invest in skill development and empower employees to build capabilities that support both immediate success and long-term career growth.
