The Real Estate Strategy team is an internal strategy group that acts as a trusted advisor to executives and business leaders by providing thought partnership, strategic analysis, and insights. The group leads several key functions for Schwab to support informed decision making, including leading key strategic initiatives for our executives, maintaining perspectives on broader industry trends and Schwab’s competitive landscape, and supporting the annual corporate strategic planning cycle. Real Estate Strategy supports the Board, C-suite, and senior leaders, and is responsible for delivering thoughtful, insightful contributions across a range of high-level strategic projects.

Work cross-functionally and departmentally to support and maintain workplace strategies and occupancy.

As a Sr. Specialist, you will:

  • Have experience and be comfortable with reading floorplans to maintain accurate regional database records and demand forecast plans
  • Possess professional written and verbal skills to respond to customer inquiries/requests regarding space needs and seat reservations
  • Effectively prioritize and manage multiple daily tasks to coordinate move/add/change efforts with partner teams, including creating and analyzing group moves with up to 1,200 people
  • Be comfortable working in a dynamic, quickly changing environment while maintaining daily responsibilities
  • Submit/track approvals for seat assignments related to information barriers for groups with regulated access requirements
  • Perform periodic audits of seat assignments, occupancy, vacancy, labs & equipment; may include field verification
  • Maintain wait lists for space as necessary (buildings with high occupancy and seat shortage)
  • Provide targeted assistance for special projects, as needed - support includes analysis, input when establishing new procedures, communication support, etc.

We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site four days per week in the specified locations.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of business experience in real estate portfolio management (strategy, project management, transactional/financial analysis, and corporate occupancy experience)
  • Excellent project management skills including experience with space projects and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to analyze and present strategic recommendations for effective space planning and workplace concepts
  • Consistent track record of providing outstanding customer service, establishing trust, and communicating effectively
  • Exceptional time management skills and a passion for working in a dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated success supporting challenging business goals
  • Strong computer software application skills (Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCad)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or a demonstrated ability to thrive in a corporate environment
  • Experience with space management software preferred
