Our organization:

Schwab’s Wealth & Advice Solutions (WAS) organization offers industry-leading wealth management experiences, through solutions like Schwab Wealth Advisory (SWA) and Schwab Advisor Network (SAN), along with a broad range of investment products and solutions, to both retail and registered investment advisor (RIA) clients. Within WAS, Investment Offers & Solutions (IOS) is responsible for managing our third-party product marketplaces (Alternative Investments, Managed Accounts, Mutual Funds, ETFs, Structured Products, Fixed Income, Annuities & Insurance, and 529) as well as our proprietary Separately Managed Accounts. Our mission is to provide a positive experience for the Schwab clients that invest in these products, while growing a revenue stream which is vital to Schwab’s overall financial health.

Within IOS, the Managed Accounts Solutions (MAS) Team is responsible for the end-to-end offer management for our third-party and proprietary managed investing, primarily Separately Managed Accounts (SMA). To do this, we maintain a robust product offering (e.g. by developing new offers, enhancing existing offers, or adding resources to the platforms), develop new tools and research for clients, build relationships with third-party and proprietary asset management partners, and work effectively with internal partners and outside firms to create a strong positive client experience. Serving individual investors, registered investment advisors (RIAs), retirement plans, and other institutional clients, our Managed Accounts offers are a centralized and shared resource for the firm.

As a member of the team, reporting directly to the Director of MAS Managed Account Offer Enablement, the Senior Manager of Managed Accounts Offer Enablementwill have the opportunity to be responsible for developing and implementing the enablement of strategic initiatives for our managed account offers. These initiatives include addressing changing industry trends, evolving our business and economic model, pursuing market growth opportunities, and improving internal business processes and operations. The Senior Manager will work closely with internal partners to deliver education and tools, marketing and collateral, sales and service communications and plans, to deliver on our initiatives, that remove barriers and provide clear direction for managed account offers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Execute a strong blend of project/product management, data analysis, critical and strategic thinking, presentation building and execution skills to deliver on various high-impact cross-functional projects to further elevate Schwab’s Managed Account client experience and enable a proactive approach to industry trends and dynamics
  • Ensure processes and procedures supporting functions of the managed account client experience are maintained to minimize risk to the firm and to drive efficiency and scale in platform maintenance
  • Gather insights to understand client needs, pain points, and attitudes to design and/or position products, develop product maps to evolve our offers and drive value for our clients
  • Lead/support day-to-day management of our existing proprietary and third-party separately managed account offerings to help create a positive client experience
  • Help launch new separately managed account offerings, from concept creation through implementation, and ensure new offers are well positioned for retail investors
  • Partner closely with internal team colleagues, marketing, sales, operations, legal, compliance, and others in the planning and execution of key projects
  • Engage with internal stakeholders around the firm, acting both as subject matter expert and change agent for a better client experience and reduced risk to our firm overall
  • Assist in providing advisors or advice representatives with the necessary content, training, and systems to support effective engagement with end clients

We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site four days per week in the specified locations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of investment offer management and/or client experience
  • Excellent project management skills, including attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and work efficiently (independently and with teams), to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Robust communication skills, both written and verbal, with demonstrated ability developing materials and effectively presenting to and persuading audiences
  • A strategic thinker with strong business judgment and analytical skills, who can problem solve as issues arise
  • Ability to successfully execute on multiple initiatives at the same time, autonomously, quickly, despite challenges, and with great attention to detail
  • Expert user of PowerPoint and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to weigh multiple perspectives, gain consensus, and influence key stakeholders
  • Experience in the financial services industry, especially as it relates to asset management and managed accounts
  • Strong relationship building and partnerships skills; a strong team player
  • High degree of comfort dealing with ambiguity; comfort in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment
  • Strong understanding of partner functions such as marketing, sales, operations, risk, legal and compliance
  • MBA and/or equivalent post-MBA level experience preferred
