Schwab's Functional Communications team within Corporate Affairs helps drive employee engagement, business alignment, and organizational effectiveness through strategic internal communications. As a Senior Specialist, Functional Communications, you'll help create communications that inform, engage, and inspire employees while supporting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. You'll partner with colleagues across Corporate Affairs and the business to deliver meaningful employee communications, leverage insights and metrics to improve effectiveness, and explore new tools and technologies that enhance how work gets done.

What You’ll Do

  • Create clear, engaging communications across written, digital, live, and virtual channels that support employee engagement and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand communication needs and deliver effective, audience-focused solutions.
  • Use metrics and audience insights to evaluate communication effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Identify ways to streamline processes and improve team effectiveness, including the use of AI-enabled tools.
  • Maintain editorial calendars, project documentation, and shared resources to support successful execution.
  • Learn and leverage the Socialive platform to support video storytelling and employee communications initiatives.

What you have

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in communications, corporate communications, public relations, marketing, content development, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience creating written communications tailored to different audiences, channels, and business needs.
  • Experience partnering with stakeholders to gather information, align messaging, and support communication objectives.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities, deadlines, and deliverables simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to create clear, concise, and engaging content that informs and influences employee audiences.
  • Experience supporting communication initiatives that enhance employee engagement, understanding, and business alignment.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships across teams and effectively partner with stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
  • Experience using reporting, metrics, or audience insights to measure communication effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to improve processes, simplify workflows, and enhance team effectiveness.
  • Experience exploring or applying AI-enabled tools to support communications, content creation, research, or productivity.
