The Wealth Management Learning & Coaching (WML&C) team is responsible for empowering our sales professionals to build trusted relationships and deliver modern wealth management to our clients through world-class learning and coaching experiences. Our goal is to enable increased engagement and retention of clients, enhance confidence in the professionals we support and improve overall sales professional performance. 

The Senior Manager,Wealth Management Learning & Coaching Strategy will report to the Director, Wealth Management Learning & Coaching Strategy and Program Management and will be responsible for:

  • Retail Sales Competitive Intelligence Program:
    • Maintaining, developing, and enhancing Competitive Intelligence resources on the internal Knowledge Center and within the field, including Competitive Intelligence Hub, quick reference guides, and monthly newsletter.
    • Enhance strategy to address feedback and timely topics to meet sales professional needs in support of their clients and their conversations.
    • Building a strong understanding of Schwab’s investor segments, offering and key opportunities in the marketplace to provide competitive intelligence positioning for our sales professionals.
    • Leverage AI and other technologies to enhance efficiency of competitive intelligence services, streamline information management processes, and provide timely responses to critical needs.
    • Provide ad-hoc support on leadership and business partner requests including Retail response plans to competitor events / announcements, targeted win/loss situational support, and researching competitive intelligence inquiries.

  • WML&C Data and Insights: Leverage data to support Retail Sales learning, development and coaching. This role translates insights into action across our learning and coaching initiatives, including:  
    • Analyzing data across the WML&C Team in support of the Retail Sales network, aligning with strategic focus areas, performance indicators, and key activity metrics.
    • Understanding key performance indicators and leading indicators and using dashboards and reports to develop a point of view on the health of the business and coaching reinforcement opportunities.
    • Partnering with Wealth Management Learning & Coaching Sr Leadership Team on quarterly business reviews, lift analyses, and other reporting needs to gather insights and observations to enhance team effectiveness.
    • Partnering with Field Operations Teams to align key metrics within data strategy and develop a point of view on the metrics that support overall strategy of the organization.
    • Managing executive updates and communications to support quarterly business reviews and business updates.

  • Strategic Program Management, Intake & Prioritization:
    • Managing intake, governance, prioritization process through Smartsheet to ensure alignment of priorities, resources, and portfolio of work across WML&C team. Collaborate with team members and partners to ensure alignment, buy-in and implementation strategy.
    • Providing project leadership and channel support across key strategic initiatives, including day-to-day management, project plans, executive updates, stakeholder feedback and performance measurement.
    • Serving as a change agent to manage the implementation of strategic programs across field audiences.
    • Influencing and gaining alignment with leadership team members and partners for continued agreement on strategic roadmap, priorities, and timing of field deployment.
    • Collaborating with partners to facilitate alignment of strategic priorities, gather insights and feedback, and provide transparency to ensure the team’s vision, roadmap and requirements are aligned across the Sales channel and achieve optimal business outcomes.

What you have


What you have: 

  • Ability to navigate and lead through new and ambiguous subject matter.
  • Strong analytical and insights capabilities to review and digest sales data including leading indicators, key performance indicators, and other sales activity and performance metrics.
  • Ability to recognize trends and develop recommendations to support coaching opportunities and strategic focus areas across multiple regions and the sales network.
  • Financial services industry understanding and ability to review firm competitive intelligence information and develop sales-focused insights and discussion points for sales professional usage.
  • Demonstrated experience building relationships with a diverse range of partners and working with cross-functional teams to design and deliver client experience initiatives, including evaluating opportunities and making recommendations based on the unique needs of the
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, including being able to synthesize data, develop cohesive business cases and recommendations, influence partners and create and deliver compelling
  • Detail-oriented with superior project management skills and the ability to multi-task and work efficiently to meet deadlines on an independent basis. Ability to identify and prioritize business implications, develop a point of view, and create the objectives, structure and plan to mobilize resources.
  • Required technical skills including Excel, PowerPoint; preferred technical skills including smartsheet, SharePoint, PowerBI, Tableau.
  • A client-centric focus that keeps clients in the forefront of decisions and connects plans and actions to our purpose of serving investors and Retail Sales personnel.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years relevant experience- required
  • 5+ years in strategy, analytics, project management, product management- required
  • Financial Services industry experience and acumen-required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sales operations or client experience-type roles highly preferred
  • Series 7 licensing is highly preferred
