Your opportunity

DAFgiving360™ is an independent nonprofit organization created to increase charitable giving in the U.S. We offer a donor-advised fund program and related philanthropic tools and guidance that empower donors to incorporate charitable planning into their everyday lives and make a bigger difference in the world. Since our founding in 1999 as an 501(c)(3) public charity, DAFgiving360 donors have recommended over $50 billion in grants to more than 295,000 charities.

DAFgiving360 has entered into a services agreement with Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. for administrative and other services, including human resources. This position will be an employee of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. and will be subject to its policies and procedures but will report to and be accountable to DAFgiving360 for day-to-day activities.

The Director of the Project Management Office (PMO) will lead the strategic direction, governance, and execution of DAFgiving360’s enterprise-wide project portfolio.

This is a high impact leadership role for a proven PMO leader who has led teams through ambiguity, modernized delivery discipline, and can lead in complex, regulated environments.

You will lead a PMO supporting enterprise business initiatives, technology programs, and hybrid operational transformations and partner closely with senior leaders across business, technology, risk, and operations

What You Will Do:

  • Lead, coach, and performance manage a PMO team of program and project managers; direct people leadership experience is required
  • Reset PMO operating rigor across intake, planning, dependency management, risk escalation, and delivery accountability
  • Establish enterprise level portfolio visibility across business, technology, and hybrid initiatives
  • Replace fragmented tracking (spreadsheets, Word, SharePoint) with scalable PM and portfolio management tools
  • Drive consistent project standards (plans, milestones, risks, decisions, retrospectives) and executive ready reporting
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to manage cross-org dependencies, funding tradeoffs, and execution risk
  • Lead delivery in a regulated Schwab ecosystem, ensuring governance, controls, and audit readiness

What you have

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in large enterprise project / program management
  • 5+ years leading a centralized PMO or equivalent function in a large, complex organization
  • Direct people leadership experience
  • Proven delivery of enterprise business and technology programs with significant cross organizational dependencies
  • Experience operating in regulated environments (financial services, brokerage, banking, or similar)
  • Deep expertise across Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery models, with the ability to apply pragmatically
  • Strong portfolio level planning, dependency management, and executive communication skills
  • Hands‑on experience implementing or scaling PMO tools, governance, and portfolio reporting
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Technology, or related field

Preferred:

  • Experience leading leaders strongly preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred; additional certifications such as PMI-ACP, SAFe, or Prosci Change Management are a plus
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Experience modernizing PMOs through tooling, automation, or AI enabled reporting
  • Background in transformation, operating model change, or large‑scale operational initiatives
