As a Senior Scrum Master within Wealth Management Engineering under Schwab Technology Services, you will play a critical role in enabling high-quality, predictable delivery across multiple Agile teams supporting a rapidly growing Wealth & Advice Solutions (WAS) business. This organization powers technology solutions for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients, making technology a strategic differentiator in how Schwab delivers advice and investment capabilities.
In this role, you will apply deep Agile expertise to drive outcomes by fostering strong team accountability, enabling consistent delivery cadence, and guiding teams toward continuous improvement. You will influence how teams operate by promoting transparency, data-driven decision-making, and adaptability in complex environments with cross-team dependencies. By coaching teams and stakeholders, you will help improve product quality, reduce delivery friction, and accelerate value realization.
Success in this role requires strong collaboration across engineering, product, and business stakeholders. You will serve as a trusted partner to Product Owners and leaders, helping align priorities, remove impediments, and ensure teams are focused on delivering meaningful, usable outcomes. Your ability to navigate ambiguity, support evolving business needs, and elevate team performance through coaching and mentorship will be critical to driving impact at scale.

What you have


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master supporting Agile software delivery teams
  • 5+ years of experience in software development environments within financial services, including exposure to cross-team dependencies
  • Experience working in scaled Agile environments supporting multiple teams simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of Wealth Management and trade lifecycle processes, including Equity/ETF, Fixed Income, and Mutual Funds workflows
  • Proven ability to apply Agile practices, metrics, and frameworks to improve delivery predictability, team effectiveness, and product quality
  • Proficiency with Agile and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated ability to coach teams and stakeholders on Agile principles, fostering self-organization, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to drive decisions in dynamic environments
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting large-scale Agile frameworks and program-level planning activities such as PI Planning
  • Familiarity with tools such as Planview or Rally
  • Strong ability to influence and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities across multiple teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience applying advanced Agile practices, including backlog refinement techniques, estimation methodologies, and retrospective frameworks
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences
  • Proven commitment to continuous learning and improvement of Agile practices, tools, and team capabilities
  • High degree of ownership, accountability, and customer focus, with a track record of driving results in collaborative environments

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
