Your opportunity

At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us challenge the status quo and transform the finance industry together. We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location(s).

Help shape the next generation of banking at Schwab! The Bank Platform team connects business strategy with technology delivery to expand deposit product capabilities, simplify client and employee experiences, and modernize the core platforms that power the bank.

As the Manager, IT Product Management, you will work closely with Product Management, Bank Technology, business partners, and your Agile team to translate banking core and deposit product priorities and complex business needs into clear, executable work. You will own and prioritize the team backlog, guide work from discovery through delivery, and help the team deliver valuable, reliable banking capabilities.

What You’ll Do

  • Own, prioritize, and maintain the team backlog in alignment with product strategy, roadmap priorities, and delivery commitments.
  • Translate features and business objectives into well-defined epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting requirements that Agile teams can estimate and deliver.
  • Partner with Deposit Product Management, business stakeholders, architects, engineers, analysts, operations, risk, and other teams to clarify needs and inform solution decisions.
  • Facilitate backlog refinement and support iteration planning, PI Planning, reviews, demonstrations, and other Agile delivery activities.
  • Provide timely clarification and make day-to-day scope and priority decisions so the team can maintain delivery momentum.
  • Identify dependencies, risks, assumptions, and decision needs; coordinate with partner teams and escalate when appropriate.
  • Ensure work is ready for development, traceable to intended outcomes, and validated against acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with testing, operations, and business stakeholders to support user acceptance, implementation readiness, production certification, and post-release follow-up.
  • Maintain transparency into backlog health, progress, tradeoffs, and changes for team members and stakeholders.
  • Use data, client and employee insights, and feedback to improve requirements, priorities, and delivered solutions.
  • Apply AI-enabled tools responsibly to accelerate analysis, requirements development, prototyping, documentation, and team productivity.
  • Contribute to Product Owner standards, shared practices, peer learning, and continuous improvement across Bank Platform.

What you have

  • Experience partnering directly with engineers, architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver technology solutions.
  • Ability to analyze business and technology needs, identify dependencies, and convert ambiguity into clear, executable work.
  • Working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and scaled delivery practices.
  • Experience using JIRA, Rally, Confluence, or comparable Agile delivery and collaboration tools.
