Workplace Services Engineering is part of Schwab Technology Services and plays a critical role in how employers and participants experience workplace financial solutions. Our teams build and modernize platforms that support retirement and workplace services for millions of people, combining scale, purpose, and innovation.

As a Full Stack .NET Developer, you’ll contribute to high-impact, enterprise-scale solutions while collaborating with talented peers in a culture built on trust, inclusion, and continuous learning. You’ll help modernize platforms, improve reliability, and deliver experiences that matter—while growing your skills and career along the way.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, build, and enhance scalable full-stack applications that support critical workplace and retirement services
  • Modernize legacy systems to improve performance, resilience, security, and compliance
  • Develop and integrate APIs and foundational services that enable faster, safer partnerships and platform evolution
  • Improve platform stability and reliability through thoughtful design, testing, and performance tuning
  • Apply AI-assisted development tools to improve development efficiency, code quality, and team workflows
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, product partners, and stakeholders to influence technical direction and outcomes
  • Contribute to a culture of mentorship, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement

What you have


Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional experience in full-stack web application development; BS/MS degree or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and develop full-stack web applications using modern development practices
  • Proficiency in C# and .NET Core for building scalable backend services
  • Strong capability with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to deliver responsive, accessible user experiences
  • Experience building single-page applications using modern client-side frameworks such as Angular and TypeScript
  • Ability to design, create, and consume RESTful APIs
  • Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL, including integrating backend services with data stores
  • Experience applying unit testing practices and patterns to improve code quality and reliability
  • Understanding of secure application design, including authentication and authorization concepts
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly across teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience modernizing legacy applications while maintaining stability and performance
  • Familiarity with performance evaluation, tuning, and observability in distributed systems
  • Experience with web accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
  • Knowledge of Agile and Scrum-based development environments
  • Exposure to AI-assisted development tools and practices

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
