Your opportunity

At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us challenge the status quo and transform the finance industry together.

We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location(s).

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.

Schwab Asset Management’s Fund Accounting team oversees a third-party fund accounting service provider for proprietary mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and bank collective trust funds. As a Senior Manager, Fund Accounting, you’ll play a meaningful role in supporting the accuracy, integrity, and oversight of fund accounting activity, including fund transactions, net asset values (NAVs), fund distributions, and accounting policy application.

In this individual contributor role, you’ll partner closely with fund accounting teammates and cross-functional partners across portfolio management, product management, tax, trade operations, audit, and financial reporting to solve complex fund administration issues, monitor internal controls, support business changes, and help drive reliable outcomes. Your work will include performing end-of-day reviews, researching and explaining NAV variances, overseeing service provider deliverables, analyzing fund distributions, preparing management, governance, and board reporting, communicating accounting policy updates, and identifying opportunities to improve workflows and support automation. This is an opportunity to bring financial accounting expertise, sound judgment, attention to detail, and collaborative problem solving to work that supports Schwab’s funds and the teams that serve them.
