This position within the Workday Center of Excellence team will be tasked with the role of Workday Security Engineer, to lead and support Workday Administration of user roles within various tenants of Workday. The role will be within the HR Technology group responsible for implementation and support of Workday’s Global HRIS.

  • This position will serve as the Workday Security administrator and will develop and maintain user
  • security profiles to meet system integrity and segregation of duties requirements.
  • Responsible for daily Workday HCM support, research, and Q&A in partnership with the HR business Team.
  • Design and implement new security configurations.
  • Support existing security configurations including providing routine security administration and troubleshooting security related issues.
  • Interface with the HR business team to review business requirements, call out ambiguities, and design solutions to meet those requirements.
  • Maintain documentation for security related procedures, guidelines, and designs for the HR Technology team.
  • Develops solutions and coordinates with teams to enhance application support.
  • Enhances processes to ensure legal and ethical data compliance.
  • Innovates solutions that strengthen incident response and mitigate outcomes.
  • Generates effective QA testing solutions that boost operational performance and product integrity.
  • Enhances business outcomes by partnering with teams to organize and prioritize requirements.
  • Develops security solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Optimizes development testing and verification to enhance component reliability and address operational problems.
  • Leads packaging and orchestration to efficiently deliver software deployments.
  • Delivers scalable, business-aligned system design solutions through predictive or adaptive approaches.

What you have


Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years proven experience administering Workday Security, Designing and configuring Workday security groups and user security profiles.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of security administration related to the following
  • Workday areas: Core HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, Learning, Talent, business processes, reports, and integrations.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex security issues in a production environment with tight resolution timeframes.
  • Experience with Workday Object Transporter and Kainos desired.
  • Experience with an agile/scrum environment.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and initiatives at one time.
  • Able to work well independently and under pressure.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive data with confidentiality and integrity; ability to exercise appropriate judgment.
  • Advanced knowledge of the use of Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
