​​Schwab is recruiting a driven, results-oriented software engineer who shares our passion for technology, innovation and excellence. We are moving towards a Test-Driven development and Continuous Integration environment using various DevOps tools.  The software engineer will be a hands-on developer that excels in a dynamic, fast-moving, and agile environment and is passionate about developing high quality, high performance, and scalable software. The candidate will work aside a team of seasoned engineers whose main objective is to maintain all aspects of the overall software development lifecycle and ensure the on-time, quality delivery of software product releases​.

​​This position will be part of Digital Services Technology team at Schwab, and we will focus on driving client-centricity, reducing time to market and increasing efficiency. The model is insights-driven and focuses on rapid iterations to drive innovation and transformation. What you have


​​Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or a related field from an accredited university or institution.
  • Minimum 6 years of solid development experience in Java, C# .Net, .NET Core, and understanding of UML (Unified Modeling Language).
  • Minimum 4 year of experience with database (SQL / NoSQL) architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Solid experience developing and implementing applications, particularly web-enabled applications using: Front End Technologies/Concepts: Angular and/or AngularJS, HTML5, CSS/SCSS, ASP.NET web forms, MVC, JSON/XML, Sync/Async services.
  • Back End Technologies/Concepts  - Java, C# ASP.NET and RESTful API design.
  • Database Technologies/Concepts: Relational (SQL/Oracle) and Document Based (No-SQL/MongoDB) Architectures.
  • Environment: Distributed Monolithic and Cloud Based Microservices (Private Cloud/Pivotal Cloud Foundry is strongly differentiating).
  • Passion for problem solving, ability to quickly learn new concepts, and ability to interact with all levels of technical and business teams.
  • Good understanding in web application environments and development tools, event-driven application development, session state management, web configuration and deployment strategies, security, and performance tuning, and debugging methodologies.
  • Good understanding of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) concepts, unit testing principles and implementations, API test automation techniques as well as automated deployment pipeline tools.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good understanding of Agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures.
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced customer focused environment that continually embraces the latest technologies and techniques.
  • Must have effective time management skills and should be able to prioritize and multi-task effectively.
  • Proven ability to work independently requires minimal review and rework and working with minimal direction from senior colleagues.
  • Be a team player, self-motivated and able to work collaboratively across organizations and geographic locations. 

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience collaborating in teams in a scaled agile framework.
  • Experience working in a closely integrated environment with multiple scrum teams.
  • Experience collaborating on multiple priorities in a dynamic, geographically dispersed environment
