The Data Protection Operations – Key & Certificate Management team provides specialized security analyst expertise, escalation support, and continuous process improvement as part of the Schwab Cybersecurity Services organization. The team supports service fulfillment and troubleshooting for technologies and the associated tools used to manage them, with the goal of reducing risk and aligning business requirements with established security standards. In addition, the team develops and delivers guidelines and best practices for managed security services in accordance with security policies and standards. 

This role is responsible for supporting enterprise-level initiatives related to Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Cipher Management, Secure Shell (SSH) keys, and Privileged Access Management (PAM) services. The role also serves as a liaison for escalation to project and engineering teams when necessary. Additionally, it includes responsibility for troubleshooting supported technologies, as well as delivering automation capabilities and reporting metrics across all supported products.​

Key Responsibilities:

• Intermediate understanding of current technologies and their future direction of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Ciphers, and Secure Shell (SSH) Keys with the knowledge of key management concepts, patterns, and best practices.
• Understanding Identity and Access Management at an Administrator level with the expertise and background of a Privileged Access Management enterprise application.
• Knowledge of automation experience leveraging Application Programming Interface (API) and provide key metrics for supported applications.​

• Participating in agile teams alongside product managers, solution owners, and leads, and other specialists.
• Providing technical support and mentoring staff on other teams.
• Develop and document procedures for the team
• Identify and communicate recommended/required process improvements
• Coordinate development, testing, and implementation for supported applications through automation
• Taking responsibility for the quality of the work under their control.
• Develop dashboard reporting metrics for leadership

• Strong technical writing skills. 
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. 
• Working knowledge of security technologies and associated products.
