The role based in Schwab India, part of our Global Capability Center in Hyderabad will be part of Schwab Asset
Management Technology (SAM Tech) which is part of Schwab Technology Services (STS). SAM Tech is aligned to
support the technology needs of Schwab Asset Management (SAM) and the broader Schwab organization. As part of
the Charles Schwab organization, we champion the needs of investors and seek to enhance the financial lives of our
clients in all we do. Operating our business through clients’ eyes and putting them at the center of our decisions, we
aim to deliver exceptional experiences to investors and the financial professionals who serve them.

SAM Tech enables SAM to deliver investment solutions at scale - powering the full lifecycle comprising trading,
portfolio management, research and operation across SAM Funds, ETFs, and Managed Accounts Solutions. The suite
of platforms delivers scalable front, middle and back-office capabilities across Advisor Services (AS) and Investor
Services (IS), including Alternatives and third-party Insurance and Annuities.

The role will be an integral member of SAM Tech that is responsible for developing solutions that support Front
Office, Middle Office, and Data & Distribution. In addition, the role will support the ongoing growth, modernization,
and scalability of the various SAM Tech Platforms. The role will report to locally in Hyderabad in India.

Key Responsibilities

Provide at least three core duties of this role
This role based in Hyderabad, India will provide technical and people leadership, to support the overall strategy of
SAM Tech and Schwab Asset Management, spearheading our buildout in the Global Capability Center. They will be
responsible for building and managing an India based team of Developers, SDET, QA etc. as we build out these key
skillsets over the coming years. This would include firsthand development, mentoring team members whilst driving
team performance in a collaborate manner with their US based colleagues to achieve overall team success. They will
work both strategically and creatively to drive both the success of the domain as well as the ongoing strategy to
improve and build out the India based teams.

They will be a key driver in the implementation and integration of modern applications that support the overall
business capabilities and build highly scalable applications that enable future business growth. In addition to being a
strong technical leader, part of the role will involve mentoring developers and collaborating across multiple teams
and internal organizations.

Required Qualifications

Technical Expertise and Educational Requirements

Proven leadership and people skills with experience of building and leading technology teams.
A university degree from a well-respected academic institution, and/or other professional certifications are a
plus.
Knowledge of Asset Management including Front Office, Middle Office, Data & Distribution.
At least 10 years’ experience developing enterprise class applications using .NET and C#, particularly distributed
and Cloud applications.
Full stack development experience including Java, C#, SQL, HTML5, Angular, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, XML, REST,
SOAP, etc.
Working knowledge of SOLID principles, 12-Factor App, and design patterns.
At least 10 years of experience working in Agile Scrum.
Strong ability to design, code, and debug applications in various software languages.
Proven record of delivering technology solutions within agreed timeframes.
