Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain software applications across the full stack
• Use GenAI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT) to accelerate coding, debugging, and documentation
• Take full ownership of all code changes, including those generated with AI tools.
• Work with team leads to ensure that every change is reviewed, tested, and thoroughly understood before it is merged and released to production.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code with or without AI assistance
• Work with team members to create clear prompts, task definitions, and acceptance criteria to effectively direct AI agents
• Apply spec-driven development practices
• Work with team members to design and develop AI agents, including defining agent goals, tool use, memory, and orchestration logic to automate complex engineering tasks
• Review and validate AI-generated code for correctness, quality, security, and maintainability
• Work with team members to accept, modify, or reject AI suggestions based on context and standards
• Generate and improve unit, integration, and regression tests using AI-assisted tools
• Ensure test coverage meets standards before code is merged
• Identify and address security, performance, and reliability concerns early
• Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and code reviews to ensure alignment on technical direction and quality standards
• Work with team lead to maintain custom instructions and prompt engineering guidelines, following team-level practices that drive consistent and effective AI-assisted development
• Work with team leads to improve AI-enabled engineering practices and proactively share learnings, patterns, and tooling insights with the broader team

What you have

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of software engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals including algorithms, data structures, OOP, design patterns, system design, databases, networking, concurrency, testing, CI/CD, and secure coding principles
• Hands-on experience with GenAI coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar)
• Proficiency in Java or .NET
• Ability to critically review AI-generated code for bugs, security issues, and code quality
• Working knowledge of agentic workflows, agent development, and spec-driven development, including translating low-level design artifacts into structured specifications that guide AI-assisted implementation
• Proficiency in prompt engineering and custom instruction authoring, with the ability to define and champion team-level standards for effective AI-assisted development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and deploying AI agents using frameworks such as LangChain, Copilot Workspace, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
• Knowledge of secure coding practices
• Experience modernizing legacy applications
