Organization / Role Description:

The Schwab Corporate Systems Operations Support Team, part of Corporate IT, is looking for a Production Operations Engineer to support the critical internal platforms that power our Compliance and Legal functions. In this role you will independently own the day-to-day health of these systems, respond to incidents, and drive improvements that make our platforms more reliable over time. When issues arise, our team focuses on fast restoration of service, learning from incidents, and strengthening reliability.

What you have


What you'll do
- Independently troubleshoot and support production Compliance and Legal systems to ensure availability and performance
- Monitor systems and applications, respond to alerts and incidents, and own resolution through closure
- Lead post-incident analysis for the issues you handle and turn findings into concrete reliability improvements
- Support daily batch and ETL processing, including validation and exception handling
- Contribute to automation of deployment, infrastructure, and monitoring
- Improve documentation, runbooks, diagrams, and operational processes
- Partner with engineering, agile, and support teams to prioritize backlog work and incidents
- Participate in an on-call rotation with escalation support

Responsibilities will include
- Provide support for production incidents and daily batch/ETL processing across the Compliance and Legal application stack (e.g., eCounsel, Actimize/CDD, Compliance, Supervision, Relish, OFSAA, Informatica)
- Work with technical and agile teams to prioritize backlog work and incidents
- Automate deployment, infrastructure, and monitoring tools and systems
- Enhance, maintain, and support Linux and Windows platforms
- Support disaster recovery planning and testing
- Perform root cause analysis and develop remediation plans to improve reliability
- Drive resolution of issues and provide status updates to stakeholders
- On-call support
- Other duties as assigned​.

Required Qualifications

What you have
- 3+ years of hands-on production support or systems engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- Solid hands-on experience with Windows and/or Linux
- Ability to work independently, prioritize your own queue, and drive incidents to resolution with limited guidance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with enterprise batch scheduling tools (Control-M a plus)
- Experience with Remedy/SmartIT a plus
- Experience with Splunk a plus
- Exposure to Compliance and Legal applications a strong plus
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

 Evaluates moderately complex problems by analyzing data and spotting trends
 Keeps others informed about workstream developments and updates
 Applies business intelligence and industry insights to support decision making
- Experience with Compliance and Legal Business applications
- Desire to learn business context and metrics around Compliance and Legal applications
