At Schwab, Enterprise Delivery Enablement Organization enables Schwab team members efficiently,consistentlyand easily deliver quality solutions. The various departments of the organizationare responsible forEnterprise Architecture, System Engineering and Support, Test Data Management, Product and Portfolio Management etc.
Whatyou’lldo:
As a Product and Portfolio Management (PPM) developer you willbe responsible forhelping with the evaluation, development and configuration of various tools and applications. Our clients span the entire business but are primarily software developers, business analysts, project managers, and business partner teams that work closely with application development teams across the enterprise. The tools we support are used every day by Schwab’s software development community and include Application Lifecycle Management, Enterprise Agile Planning, strategic planning, roadmap visualization, resource management,taskand project tracking

KeyResponsibilities:

JIRA Administration & Development
oConfigure and customize JIRA workflows, issue types, screens, permissions, and notifications.
oDevelop automation rules using JIRA Automation, Script Runner, or similar tools.
oCreate dashboards, reports, and filters for stakeholders.

Confluence Administration
oDesign andmaintainConfluence spaces, templates, and macros.
oImplement best practices for documentation and knowledge sharing.
oIntegrate Confluence with JIRA for seamless project collaboration.

Rally (Agile Central) Administration
oConfigure Rally projects, workspaces, and user roles.
oCustomize Rally dashboards and reports for Agile teams.
oIntegrate Rally with JIRA or other tools for cross-platform visibility.

Integration & Scripting
oDevelop andmaintainintegrations between Atlassian tools, Rally, and other enterprise systems (e.g., CI/CD pipelines)
oWrite scripts using Groovy, Python, or REST APIs for advanced customization.
Performance & Security
oMonitor health system andoptimizeconfigurations.
oEnsure compliance with security standards and manage user access controls.

Stakeholder Collaboration
oPartner with engineering, product, and operations teams to gather requirements.
oProvide training and support for JIRA, Confluence, and Rally users.
Provide hands on customization, integration, and custom application/script development for various tools to meet client/Product Owner’s needs. 
Embrace team's development process/methodology,participatefullyand provide coaching where applicable.
Provide expert setup, configuration, support, troubleshooting, usage guidance, and training to our clients for supported tools.
Communicate with individuals on application teams including Managers, Developers, Project Managers, and Infrastructure Support in an Agile development environment.
Work closely with management on understanding the overall direction/scope of various projects and help translate those into JIRA artifacts.
Periodic rotational on call support.

What you have


Required Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of experience in software development, tools administration, and/or usage with a desire to provide technical and/or support leadership on a wide variety of industry-leading tools.
  • Experience with development operations of continuous integration, automatedtestingand automation of the dev process.
  • Strong experience in JIRA and Confluence administration and development. 
  • Hands-on experience with Rally configuration and reporting. 
  • Proficiencyin Atlassian Marketplace plugins (e.g., Script Runner, Automation for JIRA). 
  • Experience with REST APIs, Groovy scripting, and SQL. 
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management practices. 
  • Knowledge of Linux, Tomcat, and PostgreSQL/MySQL environments. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience Investigating and Documenting Technical Processes
  • Strong working knowledge of software development methodologies.
  • Ability to multi-task withnumerousactivities running concurrently
  • Experience working in an AgileDelivery Model Environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a desire to share knowledge through creation and refinement of written content
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills with a solid ability toidentifystakeholders, assess their needs and manage their expectations through effective communication

  • Applies analytical thinking to abstract factors, guides outcomes, and sets priorities
  • Consistentlymaintainsclear, open communication to enhance collaboration with others
  • Encourages independent problem-solving and decision-making
  • Knowledge of cloud migration (Server/Data Center to Atlassian Cloud). 
  • Experience integrating Rally with Atlassian tools.
  • Desire to provide excellent client service through strong subject matterexpertise, tenacious debugging and problem-solving skills, and a service-focused communication style.
  • Desire to solve problems systemically by looking for root causes andidentifyingways to reduce support needs of our clients through automation, documentation, and training
  • Highly curious nature and willingness to learn through multiple methods, including independent research and self-study
