CCAT (Corporate Customer & Account Technology) is a tower in CDT (Client Data Technology), with a mission to establish unified customer identifier to support comprehensive 360 view of Schwab client across all line of business. CCAT identifies the same customer across different Schwab affiliates and bring each instance under the umbrella of single Schwab Customer Identifier (SCID) that enables the enterprise to take holistic view of customer to drive more focused service and offerings.

  • Join as one of the very first lead engineers in our GCC, where you’ll help shape the culture from the ground up and be part of delivery in high-impact, enterprise-wide initiatives that directly transform how our clients are served.
  • Take ownership of end-to-end components in net-new, greenfield functionality, collaborating closely with product and partner teams.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment by making pragmatic technical decisions, unblocking work, and delivering value quickly.
  • Learn and apply new technologies to evolve the platform and influence team engineering standards through examples and reviews.
  • Design and implement solutions for team-owned services that meet business and regulatory requirements with high quality and low maintenance.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks to delivery, performance, and reliability at the team/system level.
  • Improve team practices (testing, observability, processes) and help others adopt them.
  • Lead execution of team initiatives and mentor junior engineers through code reviews and guidance.

What you have


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience with the following: Java, Spring framework, cloud development, and Web Services (REST and SOAP) supporting high volume transactions in a Highly Available environment
  • 4-6 years of experience in Distributed Databases and NoSQL databases; MongoDB, Yugabyte, PostgresSQL (preferred).
  • 4+ year experience working on real-time data and streaming applications
  • 4+ years of experience with continuous build process using Bamboo, Bitbucket/Git, or similar tools
  • 4+ years of experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), or AWS or GCP.
  • 3+ years of experience with event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, message queues, etc.)
  • 2+ years of experience in Cloud deployment in a CI/CD delivery model.
  • 1+ years of experience with batch jobs or data pipeline frameworks like Spring Batch, PySpark etc.
  • Knowledge of the Agile methodology and experience in an Agile working environment
  • Experience with the Atlassian tool stack (JIRA et alia)
  • Project delivery with ability to drive projects to successful completion; ability to anticipate project risks/issues and propose creative solutions.
  • Prior experience interfacing with various partners, including vendors, offshore development teams, and internal groups
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, influencing, prioritization, decision- making and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • "Working experience in a globably distributed environment with team members working outside of India timezone along with team members working in different US timezones.
  • Experience in Observability stack (Splunk, AppDynamics,).
  • Experience in Financial Services industry is a plus
  • Agile certification (e.g., CSM, SAFe) or architecture certification.
  • Prior experience in IT Transformations and system modernization initiatives from legacy to distributed platforms; i.e. Mainframe Cobol apps/DB2 to Java apps/SQL.
  • Experience in Test Driven Development is a plus.
