Role Description:

The individual in this role will design, develop, and support software applications and business process solutions for the Schwab Asset Management (SAM) Operations team. Responsibilities include building and maintaining business-critical solutions, developing web service APIs, user interfaces, and automated workflows that support the SAM front office functionalities. This individual will collaborate closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable solutions while actively participating in an Agile Scrum environment. The role requires a hands-on, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to contribute wherever needed to ensure successful delivery of business and technology objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

This is a Senior Specialist - Quality Assurance role, with responsibilities including hands-on experience in automation test framework development and automation test case development and maintenance, end to end test lifecycle management including hands on test execution.   Participate as an active member of an Agile Scrum team, leveraging tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and Copilot to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Required Qualifications:

▪ A university degree from a well-respected academic institution, and/or other professional certifications are a plus.
▪ Knowledge of Asset Management Front Office including Portfolio Management, Trading, Order Management System, Optimization. 
▪ At least 5 years’ experience developing automation test suites for enterprise class applications using .NET and C#, particularly distributed and Cloud applications.
▪ 5+ years of hands-on expert level test engineering skills for Services API Automation using C#.NET, RestSharp
▪ 3 + years of User interface automation experience using Playwright is a MUST.
▪ At least 5 years of experience working in Agile Scrum.
▪ Proven record of delivering technology solutions within agreed timeframes.
▪ Experience or knowledge of database design and development (SQL)
▪ Quality assurance experience in Informatica, Secure File Transfer Protocol, Control M or equivalent.  
▪ Participate and contribute to requirements gathering and designs sessions to design the test plan and the test cases.  
▪ Integration testing experience for internal and external APIs, webservices 
▪ Strong knowledge of SQL database and related integrations.  
▪ PCF or AWS or GCP cloud experience, PCF highly preferred. 
▪ Knowledge of software design patterns and ability to apply them to the right use case scenarios. 
- An agile champion with good understanding of CI/CD. Experience with GitHub or Atlassian suite of products & Jira is preferred. 

▪ 2+ years of experience in Fixed Income portfolio management and trading processing including optionally Separately managed business workflows.
▪ Product Experience of Investortools Perform, Aladdin and other well-known Order Management systems.
▪ Experience with TDD & BDD is a plus.
▪ Strong ability to design, code, and debug applications in various software languages.
