Organization / Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced QA / Test Engineering Lead to oversee the quality assurance strategy and execution for enterprise Java and .NET applications. In this role, you will lead a team of QA engineers, drive testing best practices, and serve as a critical problem-solving partner to development and business stakeholders to ensure software is delivered with the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the QA Team — Manage, mentor, and develop a team of QA / test engineers; assign work, conduct reviews, and foster a culture of quality ownership
Define Testing Strategy — Establish and maintain comprehensive test strategies across functional, regression, integration, performance, and end-to-end testing for Java and .NET applications
Problem Solve — Investigate complex defects and systemic quality issues; apply strong analytical thinking to identify root causes, patterns, and long-term preventive solutions
Drive Automation — Champion test automation frameworks and tools; prioritize automation coverage to increase speed and reliability of release cycles
Collaborate Cross-Functionally — Partner with development leads, architects, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, and validate deliverables
Quality Metrics & Reporting — Track and report on defect trends, test coverage, and release readiness; present quality status to Director-level leadership
Process Improvement — Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes, tooling, and standards across the team.

Required Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
7+ years of QA / software testing experience, including 2+ years leading or managing a QA team
Deep expertise testing Java and/or .NET applications across backend services, APIs, and integrated systems
Strong understanding of test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, RestAssured, Playwright, NUnit, JUnit, TestNG)
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of resolving complex quality issues
Experience defining test strategies for RESTful APIs, microservices, and multi-tier enterprise applications
Proven ability to communicate quality status and risks clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into DevSecOps workflows.

Preffered Qualification:

Master's degree in a relevant discipline (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, etc.)
ISTQB certification or equivalent quality assurance credential
Background in financial services or regulated, high-availability environments
Agile/SAFe delivery experience
