CCAT (Corporate Customer & Account Technology) is a tower in CDT (Client Data Technology), with a mission to establish unified customer identifier to support comprehensive 360 view of Schwab client across all line of business. CCAT identifies the same customer across different Schwab affiliates and bring each instance under the umbrella of single Schwab Customer Identifier (SCID) that enables the enterprise to take holistic view of customer to drive more focused service and offerings.

Join as one of the very first engineers in our GCC, where you’ll help shape the culture from the ground up and be part of delivery in high-impact, enterprise-wide initiatives that directly transform how our clients are served.

Contribute to CCAT initiatives by implementing well-scoped features that support new client capabilities and maintain existing capabilities

Build and enhance components in net-new, greenfield functionality under guidance from more senior engineers.

Operate in a fast-paced environment by executing quickly, incorporating feedback, and improving with each iteration.

Learn and apply new technologies while following established engineering standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities:  

Implement features and fixes that align with team designs, patterns, and business requirements.

Write clean, testable code and good documentation for owned work.

Surface risks, blockers, and dependencies early to senior engineers and the team.

Participate actively in team ceremonies and learn from feedback to improve skills.

What you have

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

6+ years of experience with mainframe systems based on COBOL, DB2, CICS, VSAM & MF Batch (JCLs, Procs, Control-M etc). Experience of integrating mainframe systems with distributed systems is a must.

Proven experience in designing and implement end to end workflows spanning COBOL batch/online (CICS), DB2, VSAM, and Java/Spring Boot microservices

Knowledge of the Agile methodology and experience in an Agile working environment. Agile certification will be a plus

Experience with the Atlassian tool stack (JIRA)

Project delivery with ability to drive projects to successful completion; ability to anticipate project risks/issues and propose creative solutions.

Prior experience interfacing with various partners, including vendors, offshore development teams, and internal groups

Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, influencing, prioritization, decision- making and conflict resolution skills

Excellent written/verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Working experience in a globably distributed environment with team members working outside of India timezone along with team members working in different US timezones.

Messaging & streaming patterns (MQ series, exposure to Kafka)

Experience in Observability stack (Splunk, AppDynamics,).

Experience in Financial Services industry is a plus

Agile certification (e.g., CSM, SAFe) or architecture certification.
