Here, you will work alongside teams who create solutions that support millions of clients every day. The work you do is more than daily operations – it’s a chance to experiment, learn, and build within a values-driven, supportive environment. This is a unique opportunity to be part of our early growth phase and shape something new, backed by the stability and strength of a Fortune 500 company. Your impact begins on day one, and your contributions will help define our future in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver end-to-end on the mainframe stack — from design through production rollout — and stay accountable for it after it ships.
  • Build mainframe Java integrations MQ-based messaging, APIs, and data flows that bridge legacy systems with Spring Boot services.
  • Drive technical execution on your modules — make sound design choices, write production-grade code, and proactively flag risks.
  • Build hands-on in COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL, and MQ.
  • Ramp into Java/Spring Boot — actively learn, pair with Java engineers, and pick up Spring Boot work as it becomes available.
  • Mentor junior engineers through code review, pairing, and design discussions

What you have

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Engineering, CS, or related field.
  • Core Mainframe Engineering
  • 8+ yrs: COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and MQ in high-volume, highly-available production environments.
  • Solid experience with batch processing, online transaction processing (OLTP), and data integration patterns.
  • Mainframe Java Integration
  • Hands-on experience building integrations between mainframe and Java/Spring Boot workloads — MQ messaging, APIs fronting mainframe services, or data synchronization.
  • Java & Modernization Readiness
  • Java fundamentals and a strong desire to move into the Java/Spring Boot stack within 18–24 months.
  • Comfortable picking up Spring Boot, REST APIs, and cloud-native patterns through structured ramp-up and on-the-job delivery.
  • Familiarity with cloud concepts (GCP, AWS, or Azure) — preferred.
  • Willingness to adopt AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) in day-to-day work, with ownership of correctness.
  • Agile + Atlassian stack (JIRA, Confluence).
  • Drives features to completion — anticipates risks, proposes solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with vendors, offshore teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication

Preferred Qualifications

  • Module-level ownership — designs, builds, and supports mainframe services and integrations end-to-end; writes clear technical specs and contributes to architectural discussions on modernization.
  • Quality and reliability — raises code quality through reviews, automated testing, and operational rigor; treats production stability as a personal commitment.
  • Effective communication — delivers concise written and verbal updates; explains technical choices clearly to engineers and non-engineers across both legacy and modern stacks.
