Charles Schwab Trust Bank supports retirement plan sponsors, advisors, and their partners through trust, custody, trading, and operational services. As

Team Lead, Cash Operations, you’ll lead a team responsible for the accurate and timely processing of retirement plan distributions and payments while supporting controls that help mitigate financial, operational, regulatory, and reputational risk.

In this role, you’ll coordinate daily production priorities, balance workflow demands, and provide leadership and coaching to a team focused on delivering high-quality operational outcomes. Working closely with leaders, internal business partners, and external vendors, you’ll help resolve complex issues, strengthen operational processes, and ensure service levels are met. Your ability to influence, motivate, and develop others will be key to building a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team.

You’ll also contribute to process improvement initiatives, quality assurance activities, procedure maintenance, onboarding, training, system testing, and operational enhancements. This is an opportunity to help drive operational excellence, strengthen risk and control practices, develop talent, and deliver reliable, client-focused solutions that support retirement plan participants, advisors, and business partners.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership and coaching experience with the ability to influence, motivate, and develop team members
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and business partners
  • Strong risk and control mindset with the ability to exercise sound judgment and support operational integrity
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing business needs in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality outcomes
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration and accountability across a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in retirement plan operations, cash operations, trust operations, banking operations, or financial services
  • Knowledge of retirement plan design, distributions, tax-related processing, and related operational workflows
  • Experience partnering with vendors and managing external business relationships
  • Experience supporting risk management, quality assurance, operational controls, or regulatory processes
  • Experience participating in or supporting system testing, system enhancements, or process improvement initiatives
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent skills
  • Industry certifications such as CEBS, NIPA, ASPPA, or related credentials

In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
