Organization / Role Description:

​​This position is for a software quality assurance test automation engineer on the Sales and Service Technology team.  The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and enhancing automated test plans solutions that support our business within a highly distributed Java Web Service application infrastructure.  The Sales and Service Technology team is a forward leaning development organization that leverages agile methodologies. This position will interact with business stakeholders and technology counterparts across many areas within Schwab.​

Key Responsibilities

Work with agile team members.  Provide creative solutions via the application of technology in a highly dynamic environment.  Implement software to meet functional requirements as well as robust, fault tolerant, and 24x7x365 available.  Provide expertise in web based, distributed, and cloud based computing application development.​

Required Qualification:

•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience 
•3 - 5 years’ experience in quality assurance with distributed applications across the full development and operational support life cycle
•Familiarity of the Java Technology Stack, GitHub Version Control, GitHub Actions, and Bamboo)
•Ability to design and execute functional, regression, and end-to-end tests for web applications
•Experience leveraging AI tools to generate test cases, test data, and automation scripts
•Identify defects, usability issues, and performance bottlenecks
•Document and maintain test cases, prompt libraries, and test results
•Interact with product managers, business analysts, and developers to define test plans and test cases for new and enhanced capabilities
•Experience working with geographically distributed teams, working collaboratively across team boundaries.
