As a Senior Java Integration Developer, you’ll join the Marketing Data Technology team—an agile, collaborative group powering Schwab’s marketing ecosystem through modern integrations, automation, and data-driven solutions. The team partners closely with marketing, product, and engineering stakeholders to deliver scalable platforms that enable personalization, measurement, and innovation across client experiences. 
You’ll contribute to a growing integration landscape that connects marketing platforms, internal systems, and third-party partners—while working in an environment that values learning, experimentation, and shared ownership. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Design, build, and evolve a scalable, resilient integration ecosystem supporting Schwab’s Marketing Technology platforms, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Marketo.
  • Develop integrations that connect internal Schwab systems and third‑party vendors, with a strong emphasis on automation, reuse, and long‑term maintainability.
  • Lead technical analysis, documentation, and solution design to support platform stability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Apply an AI‑ and automation‑first mindset to accelerate development, streamline operations, and improve reliability. 
  • Partner with product, marketing, and technology teams to prioritize requirements and deliver business-aligned solutions.
  • Strengthen operational readiness by improving monitoring, incident response, testing strategies, and quality assurance practices.
  • Build secure, compliant solutions aligned with Schwab’s engineering standards and business objectives. 
  • Contribute to cross‑team initiatives, innovation forums, and governance discussions that shape the broader marketing technology ecosystem. 

What you have


To ensure that we fulfill our promise of “challenging the status quo,” this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have: 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 
  • 5-10 years of professional experience in full‑stack or back‑end software development using Java. 
  • 5-10 years of experience developing RESTful APIs and/or SOAP based services. 
  • 5+ years of experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
  • 5+ years of experience building and supporting cloud‑native applications and services.
  • 5+ years of experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
  • 5+ years of experience with modern cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, or Pivotal Cloud).
  • Expertise in leveraging AI tools and technologies such as GitHub Copilot to improve code quality, automate testing processes, and foster innovation throughout the development lifecycle. 
  • Proficiency with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and application monitoring tools. 
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Clear understanding of secure software design principles and system reliability practices.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship. 

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
