The Cloud Senior Networking Engineer will have the opportunity to help shape the next generation Cloud solutions for Charles Schwab & Co. The ideal candidate will have experience in large scale cloud service design and implementation to protect virtualized workloads. They will serve as a subject matter expert for cloud networking. They will partner with application teams, security, and operations to design and support robust cloud networking solutions that meet business requirements. This role will also provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on cloud networking best practices and troubleshooting. This will be hands-on design, engineering and support of Schwab's architecture applied to our initiatives. This role is for someone who sees themselves as a cloud practitioner with technology domain expertise.

What you have

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, related degree OR related practical experience
• 7+ years of highly technical experience with cloud build and design in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Provider (GCP).
• 5+ years of cloud networking experience: CIDR, NAT, DNS, load balancing, hybrid connectivity, and multi-cloud architectures.
• Coding experience with Terraform, Ansible, Salt or similar automation tools are a benefit as all provisioning includes Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Extensive experience building, implementing, and managing cloud network architectures (VPCs, subnets, routing, peering, hybrid connectivity, VPNs, Direct Connect, Interconnect, etc.) related constructs in either AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Working experience with SCM and DevOps tool suites; examples include Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jenkins, Concourse etc.
• Experience in the development of policy and operational processes to insure high availability and service of entire technology stack
• Experience working with application development and security architects to determine project requirements, specifications, and technical solutions.
• Experience with supporting mission critical, 24x7 systems.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum, experience adopting or leading continuous integration and continuous delivery concepts and frameworks
• Cloud Provider Certification is a plus
• Experience in the Financial Services industry is a plus.
