The Payments, Assets, and Transfers Hub (PATH) Program is a multi-year modernization initiative focused on transforming Schwab's move money capabilities through the delivery of scalable, reusable platform services. The team partners closely with business and technology stakeholders to define future-state capabilities, improve the client and operational experience, and support the firm's long-term technology strategy. 

The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) plays a critical role in defining and documenting business requirements, developing business architecture artifacts, and supporting the discovery and analysis activities that shape future PATH capabilities. This individual will work closely with Product Owners, Architects, Business partners, Operations teams, and Technology teams to evaluate current-state processes, define future-state solutions, and establish the requirements needed to support upcoming modernization efforts. 

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience working on complex technology initiatives, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable requirements while maintaining alignment between business objectives and technology solutions.

What You'll Do 

  • Conduct requirements elicitation sessions with business and technology stakeholders to understand business objectives, pain points, operational impacts, and desired outcomes
  • Develop and document business requirements, use cases, process flows, business rules, and supporting artifacts needed to define future capabilities
  • Partner with Product Owners, Architects, and Technology teams to analyze current-state processes and define future-state business and system solutions
  • Identify dependencies, impacts, risks, and opportunities across platforms, applications, and business processes
  • Create and maintain business architecture documentation, including process models, capability maps, workflow diagrams, and operational flows
  • Support decomposition of complex business initiatives into actionable scope that can be refined and transitioned into implementation teams
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions that drive alignment across business and technology stakeholders
  • Develop expert knowledge of the move money ecosystem, platform services, system interactions, and operational processes supported by PATH
  • Partner with Agile teams to support planning, refinement, testing, and implementation activities as needed
  • Recommend process improvements and future-state solutions that improve scalability, efficiency, and client outcomes.

What you have


To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Knowledge of software development methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Competence with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Bachelor's Degree (minimum education)
  • 3+ years of experience supporting business analysis, systems analysis, requirements management, or related disciplines 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Money movement experience
  • Experience supporting platform modernization, large-scale transformation programs, or enterprise technology initiatives
  • Experience working in Agile environments with tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Familiarity with APIs, integrations, data flows, and enterprise platforms. 

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
