You will be part of the Account Open team at Schwab, focused on improving the customer journey for our clients.

In this role, you will contribute to Schwab’s digital platform by designing, building, and enhancing customer-facing, interactive web applications that support scalable, secure, and highly available experiences. You will work closely with cross-functional partners and fellow engineers in an agile environment, applying strong engineering practices to deliver incremental, high-quality solutions. This role supports both business and technology stakeholders by translating requirements into well-architected software while ensuring maintainability and performance. As a senior contributor, you will also help elevate the team through mentoring, collaboration, and active participation in product- and technology-focused learning initiatives.

What you have


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of full stack application development experience, contributing to the design and delivery of web-enabled applications that meet enterprise standards for scalability, security, and availability.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement front-end solutions using technologies such as .NET, Angular and/or AngularJS, JSON/XML, and synchronous/asynchronous services to deliver responsive user experiences.
  • Demonstrated experience with back-end development using .NET, .NET Core, C#, RESTful API design, and microservices to support reliable, service-oriented architectures.
  • Strong understanding of web application environments, including session state management, configuration and deployment strategies, security, performance tuning, and debugging to ensure stable production systems.
  • Experience applying CI/CD concepts, unit testing, API test automation, and automated deployment pipelines to improve code quality and delivery efficiency.
  • Effective communication, time management, and collaboration skills, enabling you to mentor junior developers, partner with business and technical teams, and contribute positively in a highly collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in enterprise-level agile development environments, with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with the Atlassian tool suite, including JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, and Bamboo.
  • Demonstrated interest in mentoring, coaching, and knowledge sharing through participation in technology-focused social and learning events.
