Your opportunity

At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us challenge the status quo and transform the finance industry together.

We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location(s).

Do you have an interest in becoming a Financial Consultant and working directly with clients? The Schwab Financial Consultant Academy is a 15-month rotational development program designed to prepare emerging talent for a future career in wealth management and client relationship development. Through licensing preparation, hands-on client experience, mentorship, and structured training, you will build the knowledge, confidence, and client-first approach needed to help individuals navigate their financial needs while learning how Schwab products and services can support their goals.

During the program, you will prepare for and obtain the FINRA SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 licenses, strengthen your understanding of financial products and industry practices, and gain experience supporting retail clients through service and trading-related interactions. You will have opportunities to manage competing priorities, apply sound judgment, and work through complex client questions in a fast-paced environment while continuing to build consultative communication and relationship-management capabilities.

As you progress through the Academy, you will receive wealth management and business development training, learn from mentors, coaches, and leaders, and continue developing the persistence and adaptability needed to grow in a dynamic client-facing career.

The Academy is designed as a pathway toward becoming a Financial Consultant. Upon successful completion of the program, participants transition into a business development role, such as Investment Consultant or Financial Consultant Partner, within their selected host location, where they continue refining their skills and building experience toward future Financial Consultant opportunities.

We are now accepting applications for our January 2027 Financial Consultant Academy cohort—apply by 12 PM Central Time on August 13th!

Indicate the location(s) you are interested in within the screening questions section of your application.
