Schwab’s Wealth and Product Risk & Governance (WP R&G) organization offers industry-leading wealth management services to both retail and registered investment advisor (RIA) clients. The team is responsible for Schwab’s wealth management strategy, while delivering industry-leading experiences, through solutions like Schwab Wealth Advisory (SWA) and Schwab Advisor Network (SAN), along with a broad range of investment products and solutions

WP R&G serves both the Wealth, Advisory, Bank and Trust Services (WABT) and Schwab Investment Platforms, Solutions, and Strategy (SIPSS) enterprises, with responsibility for providing leadership and strategic support for governance, policy management, and regulatory initiatives to effectively manage risk as we deliver comprehensive wealth and advice services to both Retail and Advisor Services clients.

This role applies risk management, governance, and coordination skills to support enterprise wealth and product risk programs. The position contributes by enabling consistent risk practices, supporting regulatory readiness, and strengthening governance processes across multiple business areas and risk partners.
  • Risk Program Enablement
    Administer and support Risk and Control Self‑Assessment (RCSA) activities, issue management processes, and related risk programs. Maintain accurate records, track actions, and support effective operational and regulatory risk management. 
  • Business Continuity & Incident Coordination
    Act as a central point of coordination for business continuity planning, testing activities, and incident response reporting. Ensure documentation is current, complete, and available for governance and oversight needs. 
  • Risk Reporting & Governance Support
    Collect, coordinate, and consolidate information from multiple process owners to support risk and supervisory reporting. Prepare materials that enable informed decision‑making for leadership and governance committees.
  • Cross‑Functional Partnership
    Collaborate across business units and first‑, second‑, and third‑line risk partners to support initiatives that span organizations. Build effective working relationships and influence alignment across stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement & Change Support
    Contribute to initiatives focused on efficiency, scalability, and regulatory change. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, support continuous improvement, and independently move work forward amid changing priorities. 
  • Technology & Workflow Tools
    Use SharePoint, Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI), and Microsoft Office applications to support workflows, reporting, and program coordination.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and verbal formats, including preparing materials for leadership and governance forums
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple concurrent activities and deadlines
  • Ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate across diverse stakeholders and risk partners
  • Capability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and problem‑solving when handling sensitive risk‑related information
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and adapting to evolving priorities in a complex, regulated environment
  • Ability to work independently, proactively advance work, and follow through on commitments
